During the year 2024, the State Vigilance Cell seized foreign liquor worth Rs 22.52 crore in the state. This proves that police stations, districts, or police commissioners do not seize liquor. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Harsh Sanghvi, who holds the Home Department, are unable to curb liquor smuggling in districts and cities. The highest amount of liquor seized in the state was Rs 1.47 crore in Vadodara city.
Foreign liquor worth Rs 61 lakh was seized in Ahmedabad city and Rs 90 lakh in Ahmedabad rural. The Surat range saw the highest seizure of liquor worth Rs 3.92 crore. Additionally, seizures were made across the state during the year. Of the 455 cases registered, 347 were quality cases, and a total of Rs 52 crore worth of foreign liquor was seized, including Rs 22.52 crore. Police Commissionerate: Liquor worth ₹6.1 crore was seized in Ahmedabad, ₹1.47 crore in Vadodara, ₹5.1 crore in Surat, and only ₹48,000 in Rajkot city. The highest amount of liquor, worth ₹3.92 crore, was seized in the Surat Range.

The lowest amount of liquor, worth ₹12.59 crore, was seized in the Junagadh Range.
Liquor worth ₹6.71 crore was seized from the Railway Police area. 92 wanted accused arrested.
The State Vigilance Cell arrested 92 wanted accused involved in various crimes, including prohibition and gambling, during 2024. Seventy-six accused were arrested from Gujarat and 16 wanted accused were arrested from other states. The prohibition campaign, based on a network of informants, has resulted in numerous police officers facing legal action, ranging from suspension to prosecution.
