Kankaria Chacha Nehru Balvatika in Ahmedabad renamed, ticket price Rs 450

BJP has removed Nehru’s name by renovating Balvatika in Kankaria campus. The word Chacha Nehru has been removed from Balvatika. Chacha Nehru Balvatika was written on the old door. But after renovation, Balvatika has been renamed as Balvatika Fun Carnival. Drunk on power, BJP has been doing low level politics. The country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was very fond of children and children used to call him Chacha Nehru. The place for entertainment of children in Kankaria campus was named Chacha Nehru Balvatika. Wax characters of people like Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Spiderman have been kept in the wax museum. A snow park has been built to give the experience of snowy, cold and cool environment. In which a space-like environment like Nav Mandal has been created along with sliding. About 40 people will be able to see the view of Kankaria campus simultaneously through transparent glass. About 28 theme base zones have been created with colorful lights, gaming zones and various transformers that soothe the eyes.

Balvatika located in Kankaria, Ahmedabad has been redeveloped. A transparent glass tower visible from a height for the first time in the country and a wax museum have also been built for the first time in the state. Activities like mud bike, moving robert where children can experience robotic walk, selfie point, adventure park, deer train, lazy river, glow station, kids go cart royal ride will provide exciting experiences to children and youth.

Along with knowledge, entertainment and science, Dinosaur Park and Snow-Park have now started in Balvatika, Ahmedabad. 20 attractions have been added like Flying Theatre, Wax Museum and Reality Zone, Coin House, Adventure Rides, Glass Tower, Coin House, Glass House (AC), Shoe House, Landscape Garden, Museum with a collection of various currencies and coins of the country and the world, Happy Ring, Butterfly Park, Selfie Zone as well as Gwal Station, Heron Train, Lazy River, Bhool Bhulaiya. The newly constructed Balvatika in the Kankaria Lake Front complex has been started on the basis of public-private partnership.

The entry fee is Rs 60. Many charges are up to Rs 450. It is estimated to generate an income of Rs 40 lakh. Earlier the annual income was Rs 10 lakh. Earlier the entry fee of Balvatika was only Rs 3, in which 2 activities were free. Now 6 activities will be available free of cost with an entry fee of Rs 50.

The expenses ranging from maintenance to electricity bill and security as well as salary of employees etc. will be borne by the contractor Superstar Amusement Private Limited.

Balvatika, owned by the zoo department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, was inaugurated in 1956. Balvatika has been constructed at a cost of Rs 22 crore for the intellectual and physical development of children.

Balvatika is located at Gate No. 3 of Kankaria Lake and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. It remains closed on Monday. Apart from this, other attractions of Kankaria Lake like Kamala Nehru Zoo, Naginawadi and Toy Train are also available for tourists, for which separate ticket charges are applicable.

The state government has announced to start Balvatika in schools for children in the new education policy. The government has also made a provision for the recruitment of teachers in the school, but the new education policy has introduced the semester system in the curriculum of Balvatika, in which first the children are taught through pictures and then they are taught.
