On September 8, 2010, while sitting in a large balloon overlooking Ahmedabad from the sky, Narendra Modi had promised the people of Gujarat that he had given the people an account of the cost of development. The balloon lasted for a year, then broke down and stopped working completely. It has been 13 years since then. But former Chief Minister Narendra Modi has not yet given an account of this balloon worth Rs 10 crore.

As soon as he sat in the balloon, he announced that he would take 5 thousand poor children for a ride in the sky every year. That too did not happen.

Modi had announced the first balloon safari in India. Modi visited it and took a lot of pictures. He took pictures from the sky.

Modi inaugurated the tethered helium balloon by flying a balloon safari in Kankaria, Ahmedabad.

School children below the age of 15 years will be allowed to go for balloon safari at a cost of Rs 10 from 8 am to 10 am every week from Monday to Friday.

Chief Minister Narendra Modi, describing the balloon safari as the first of its kind in India, told the public at Kankaria in Ahmedabad that the Gujarat government has given an account of the efforts of the people through various development achievements.

On one hand, the whole of Gujarat is flying high in every field, while in Delhi, India’s reputation in the Commonwealth is being tarnished due to dishonesty, scams and corruption under the nose of the central government.

Modi’s words are now coming out of the corruption prevailing in Gujarat.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation had said in 2010 that it had executed the country’s first tethered helium balloon safari project in collaboration with M/s Skywonders Company through public-private partnership in just fifteen months at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

Three thousand square meters of land has been made available at Kankaria with the unique facilities of this balloon safari. Today the value of this land is Rs 100 crore.

Giving this gift to the people of Gujarat on the last day of Shravan month, Modi flew a balloon safari at a height of three hundred and fifty feet and felt the beauty of Kankaria-Ahmedabad. He also took pictures.

Ahmedabad district in-charge and Revenue Minister Anandi Patel, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Kana Thakor, MP Surendra Patel, Harin Pathak, Kirit Solanki, MLA Rakesh Shah, Vallabh Kakadiya and 103 BJP leaders were present. The people of Gujarat are demanding an account from all these leaders in 2025.

Kana Thakor described the invaluable gift of tethered balloon as a gift for the convenience of citizens and tourists and gave full credit for the completion of this project to Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi heartily congratulated the colleagues of the entire Municipal Corporation for the achievement of dedicating the gift of a wonderful balloon safari to the public.

The CM said that after the renovation of Kankaria, one crore tourists have come here.

He proudly highlighted the renovation of Kharikut canal, development of Bhadrakali temple complex, projecting Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram as a monument of Gandhiji’s era to the world and the Rs 1,000 crore Ahmedabad Civil Hospital development project to fulfil the promises made to the people of Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad’s BRTS and Sabarmati Riverfront project have changed the look of Ahmedabad. This government has done development in such a way that public money can be used for development. Modi said that on one hand Gujarat is flying high on the ground, while the Commonwealth Games in Delhi have nothing but corruption, dishonesty and scams.

Those who cannot tolerate Gujarat’s development journey are trying to block the roads every day, Modi expressed confidence that the people will pay them their due.

But the promise made by Modi ji has been in the air for 15 years. He had said that he would sit in this balloon and give an account of the development of the people. Today it has been 13 years since that balloon closed. Now who will give an account of the loss?
