Nadiad Railway Station to be revamped at a cost of Rs 500 cr in Gujarat

Nadiad: A meeting was held at MP Seva Kendra, Nadiad regarding the renovation of Junction Railway Station at Nadiad under the chairmanship of the Union Minister of State for Communications. In which the plan for renovation of Nadiad railway station was discussed by senior railway officials.

In this meeting, a power point demo – blueprint was presented by Actec Engineer regarding the new construction of Nadiad Junction Railway Station. In which the public representatives present gave necessary suggestions. In this regard, the Union Minister said that Nadiad is going to become a metropolitan municipality in the near future. Since Nadiad is a very important town in Kheda district, the Central Government has approved the project of redevelopment and construction of railway station at Nadiad at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore.

Designs depicting Santram Temple in Nadiad, Bhatiji Maharaj’s Phagwell in the district and events related to Azadi Satyagraha will also be incorporated in the construction of the railway station. Apart from this, a railway overbridge will also be constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore, which will connect the divided east-west zone on both sides of Nadiad railway station. The convenience of Nadiad city residents and travelers will be given priority. The railway station of Nadiad will also cover various themes of cultural heritage that adorn the city and Kheda district in the construction. The Union Minister said. Leaders including Nadiad MLA Pankajbhai Desai, MP Devusingh Chauhan were present in this meeting.
