Gujarat Govt forms Akhil Bharatiya Gujarati Samaj Sankalan Samiti to bring NRGs in India under one umbrella and preserve Gujaratipana

 Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat Government has formed Akhil Bharatiya Gujarati Samaj Sankalan Samiti with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani as chief patron and Non-Resident Gujaratis (NRG) Minister as the president to include Gujaratis living in India, to involve their participation and exchange ideas in the state’s march to development and to solve the state’s problems.

According to Minister of State for NRG Department Pradeepsinh Jadeja, the Samiti will meet twice a year – once in Gujarat and net time in another state — to discuss with the State Government the preservation and promotion of the state’s heritage, arts and culture. The Samiti will involve the participation of NRGs Gujaratis’ participation in the State Government’s various programmes. They could also assist in natural calamities in Gujarat or coordinate their assistance in other states. The decision was taken by the Chief Minister as per his decisive and transparent policies.

Gujarat Government is already arranging several functions of reckon like Rann Utsav, International Kite Festival, Saputara Monsoon Festival, Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

The objective is to involve NRGs in India, their talents, knowledge and financial resources in the development of Gujarat, to bring them under one umbrella and incentivise them about Gujaratipana.

The heads of various registered Gujarati Samaj in different states will the members of the Samiti, besides famous Gujaratis settled outside Gujarat and heads of Gujarat’s Tourism Corporation, Youth Services and Cultural Affairs, iNDEXTc.
