Gandhinagar, 21 May 2020
Puducherry has canceled an order for Dhamana-1 ventilator. Chief Minister Narayanasamy has given information about this by tweeting. He said that there has been a lot of controversy over the performance of Dhaman-1 and discussions have been held with the Health Minister. So we will cancel the order and a letter has been sent in this regard.
The ventilator was manufactured by Parakram Jadeja of Jyoti CNC, a friend of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who lives in Rajkot. It was marketed by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani himself and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel. Which became famous all over the country. So orders were being received from many places in the country to buy this machine. Now the state governments of the country are starting to cancel this order.
The ventilator was claimed to be certified after 10 consecutive hours of testing at the EQBC Institute in Gandhinagar. Usually this ventilator comes for Rs 6.50 lakh. , But the Dhaman-1 ventilator was built for only Rs 1 lakh.
The special feature of this ventilator is that the entire ventilator is made from indigenous parts. For which 26 companies including Surat, Jamnagar, Morbi, Mumbai and Chennai have provided the required parts.
The black side of the Rupani government of Gujarat has been staging strong protests across the country after doctors declared that the Dhamma-1 ventilators provided at the Government Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad were not working on corona patients. Across the country, the Rupani government has come to the fore after accusing its associate businessman that he was being pushed to the brink of death rather than saving Corona patients.
