The groundnut procurement during the last three years stood at Rs.8,500-crore

Gujarat now stands number one in groundnut production of 39.36 lakh tonnes, raw cotton 101 bales and milk 135-lakh. The farm products’ worth has increased 12 times from Rs.13,948-crore in 1995-96 to Rs.168,432-crore now. The groundnut procurement during the last three years stood at Rs.8,500-crore, including Rs.2,200-crore in the current year.

The Central and State governments are moving ahead in tandem with the mantra of
‘sauno saath; sauno vikas’ for all round development of the state.
Rupani said that 115 dams would be filled up with the Narmada canal waters in the
Saurashtra region under the SAUNI Sujalam Sufalam Jal Sanchay Yojna.
