74 crore rupees spent, Atal Bridge’s revenue 27 crore rupees

Due to the high fees charged for the Atal Bridge, built by an Ahmedabad-based company, 27 crore rupees have been collected from 77.71 lakh visitors in three years. 37 percent of the expenditure incurred on this beautiful bridge has been recovered.

The Atal Bridge, built over the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, which exudes its beauty, was visited by 8.50 lakh tourists in the seven months from April 2025 to October 2025 during Diwali.

The Atal Bridge was inaugurated on August 27, 2022. The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited provided the opportunity to 77 lakh 71 thousand 269 wealthy people to visit the Atal Bridge from August 31, 2022, to October 2025. This generated revenue of 27.70 crore rupees. Poor people do not visit this bridge.

Year-wise statistics of tourists visiting the Atal Bridge

The Atal Bridge was constructed by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation.

From August 31, 2022, to March 2023, 21.62 lakh tourists visited the Atal Bridge, generating revenue of ₹6.44 crore.

From April 2023 to March 2024, ₹8.24 crore was collected from 26.89 lakh visitors.

From April 2024 to March 2025, ₹8.19 crore was generated from 20.67 lakh visitors.

From April 2025 to October 2025, ₹4.82 crore was generated from 8.51 lakh visitors.
