Akshay Foundation’s 55th kitchen in the country is started in Jamnagar. A7th food house of Gujarat. There is a capacity to prepare food for 50,000 children per day. In the first phase, Akshaya will provide food to 33,375 beneficiaries of the eligible Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme and 6,000 children under the ICDS program. Then, 4.64 lakh children are getting food in Gujarat.

Cold storage

The state-of-the-art kitchen structure of Jamnagar is spread over 2965 square meters. The Foundation has the 7th kitchen in the state and the 55th kitchen in the country. RO has important facilities like water plant and cold storage. The food is prepared following the highest international standards. Gujarat President Jaganmohan Krishna Das said that we are in Gujarat has been in the state for more than a decade.

The new kitchen has been constructed in collaboration with Reliance Foundation and Jamnagar Municipal Corporation (JMC). The mid-day meal scheme of the state government is managed by the non-governmental organization (NGO) Akshaya Patra. The kitchen will also be managed by this organization.
