[:gj]રાજ્યના પોલીસ વડા શિવાનંદ ઝાએ જણાવ્યું છે કે,

લૉકડાઉન દરમિયાન કેટલાક અસામાજિક તત્વો દ્વારા વિરોધ કરીને નાગરિકોને ગેરમાર્ગે દોરી ઉશ્કેરવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે આવી ઘટનાઓમાં સામેલ તત્વોને શોધી-શોધીને ધરપકડ કરી શક્ય એટલી વધુમાં વધુ કડક કાર્યવાહી કરાશે.

ગઇકાલે પોલીસ પરના હુમલાના બે બનાવો પૈકી અમદાવાદ શહેરના સોલા પોલીસ સ્ટેશન અને રાજકોટ જિલ્લાના પડધરીમાં એક-એક ગુનો નોંધીને કાર્યવાહી કરાય છે. રાજ્યમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં ૨૮ ગુનામાં ૬૪ આરોપી સામે પાસા હેઠળ કાર્યવાહી કરીને જેલના હવાલે કરી દેવાયા છે.

વતન જવા માંગતા પરપ્રાંતીય શ્રમિકોએ પણ ધીરજ રાખીને વહીવટી તંત્ર દ્વારા હાથ ધરાયેલ રહેલી કામગીરીમાં સહયોગ આપવો જોઈએ. આ અંગે મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી વિજયભાઈ રૂપાણી અંગત દેખરેખ રાખી રહ્યા છે ત્યારે શ્રમિકોએ તંત્ર પર ભરોસો રાખીને ખોટી અફવાઓ સંદર્ભે ગેરમાર્ગે દોરાવવું જોઈએ નહીં. ખોટી અફવા ફેલાવનાર સામે પણ પગલાં લેવાશે. ગઈકાલે અમદાવાદના ગોતા અને સૂરત જિલ્લાના ઇચ્છાપોર ખાતે શ્રમિકજનો એકત્ર થતા અવ્યવસ્થા સર્જાઈ હતી. પોલીસને નાછૂટકે કાર્યવાહી કરવી પડી હતી. વતન જવા માંગતા શ્રમિકો નિશ્ચિંત રહે જ્યાં છો ત્યાં જ રહો તંત્ર દ્વારા સામેથી જાણ કરવામાં આવશે. આંતરરાજ્ય પ્રવેશમાં પણ બંને રાજ્યના સહયોગ-સંકલનથી જ પ્રવેશ મળશે તેમ તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું.

સોશીયલ મીડીયાના માધ્યમ દ્વારા કોમ-કોમ વચ્ચે વૈમનસ્ય ફેલાય, કોમી લાગણી ભડકે, શ્રમિકો ગેરમાર્ગે દોરાય તેવી ભડકાઉ પોસ્ટ કે અફવા ન ફેલાવવા ભારપૂર્વક અનુરોધ કરતા કહ્યું કે, આવું બનશે તો તેમની સામે પણ શક્ય એટલા કડક પગલાં લેવાશે. મહેસાણા ખાતે સોશીયલ મીડીયાના માધ્યમ દ્વારા ઉશ્કેરણીજનક પોસ્ટ મૂકનાર સામે ગુનો નોંધીને આરોપીની પાસા હેઠળ ધરપકડ પણ કરાઈ છે.

વિવિધ માધ્યમો દ્વારા જે ગુનાઓ ગત રોજથી દાખલ થયા છે, તેમાં ડ્રોનના સર્વેલન્સથી ૧૭૫ ગુના નોંધાયા છે. આ સર્વેલન્સથી આજદિન સુધીમાં ૧૧,૮૭૮ ગુના દાખલ કરીને ૨૧,૦૭૮ લોકોની ધરપકડ કરાઈ છે. જ્યારે સ્માર્ટ સિટી અને વિશ્વાસ પ્રોજેક્ટ હેઠળ CCTV નેટવર્ક દ્વારા ૭૮ ગુના નોંધીને ૮૧ લોકોની ધરપકડ કરાઈ છે. આ રીતે અત્યાર સુધીમાં CCTVના માધ્યમથી ૨૮૫૬ ગુના નોંધીને ૩૯૮૯ લોકોની ધરપકડ કરવામાં આવી છે.[:en]Gandhinagar, 9 May, 2020

Director-General of Police Mr. Shivanand Jha said that police are committed towards the safety of the citizens and are making all efforts to enforce the lockdown to prevent further spread of the COVID-19. Mr. Jha reiterated that attacks on corona warriors will not be tolerated at any cost and the attackers will face strict actions.

During the lockdown, some people are making efforts to mislead the citizens of the state to protest against the lockdown while the lockdown is for the benefit of the citizens. Such individuals will be traced and subjected to legal action.

Two incidents, one at Sola police station in Ahmedabad city and the other at Paddhari in Rajkot district have been registered for attacking policemen. So far, 64 accused have been jailed for 28 offenses in the state. They have been booked under PASA.

Mr. Jha said that the migrants shall be patient and cooperative with the administration. Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani is personally supervising the arrangements made for them. In case of those trying to spread rumors or misguiding messages with regard to these arrangements, the individuals will face legal action. Such rumors led to a mass gathering of workers at Gota in Ahmedabad and Ichhapore in Surat district. Mr. Jha appealed to the migrants to be patient and clam.

Throwing light on the significant use of drones and CCTV during the lockdown, Mr. Jha said that, the cities and towns are being thoroughly observed through drone surveillance. 175 crimes have been registered through drones. A total of 21078 people have been arrested for 11878 offenses to date. Meanwhile, under the Smart City and VISWAS project, 81 individuals have been arrested for 78 crimes reported through the CCTV network tallying up to 3989 individuals for 2856 crimes. Additionally, 23 crimes have been registered so far and 22 people have been arrested through CCTV’s in residential societies.

Similarly, for spreading fake messages and rumors through social media, so far 716 crimes have been registered and 1459 accused have been arrested. 13 accounts have been blocked. 204 and 36 offenses have been registered, respectively, through videography and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). 1050 offenses have been registered so far with mounted cameras special ‘Prahari’ Van.

Cases that have been registered so far include 2036 of the violation of lockdown, 729 against those violating quarantine, and 565 other cases. 6136 vehicles have been seized in the state, added Mr. Jha. Police have released 2,06,544 detained vehicles so far.[:]
