ડૉ. હર્ષવર્ધને COBAS 6800 પરીક્ષણ મશીન રાષ્ટ્રને સમર્પિત કર્યું: છેલ્લા ત્રણ દિવસમાં કેસ બમણા થવાનો દર ધીમો પડીને છેલ્લા 14 દિવસની નજીક પહોંચ્યો
કેન્દ્રીય આરોગ્ય અને પરિવાર કલ્યાણમંત્રી ડૉ. હર્ષવર્ધને આજે રાષ્ટ્રીય રોગ નિયંત્રણ કેન્દ્ર (NCDC)ની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી અને અહીંયા COBAS 6800 પરીક્ષણ મશીન રાષ્ટ્રને સમર્પિત કર્યું હતું. કોવિડ-19ના કેસોના પરીક્ષણ માટે સરકાર દ્વારા ખરીદવામાં આવેલું આ પ્રથમ પરીક્ષણનું મશીન છે અને તેને રાષ્ટ્રીય રોગ નિયંત્રણ કેન્દ્ર ખાતે લગાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. COBAS 6800 એક સોફિસ્ટિકેટેડ મીન છે જે રોબોટિક્સથી સજ્જ હોવાથી ચેપ લાગવાની શક્યતા ઘટી જાય છે અને આરોગ્ય કર્મચારીઓને જોખમ પણ ઓછું થઇ જાય છે કારણ કે તે મર્યાદિત માત્રામાં માનવીય હસ્તક્ષેપ દ્વારા તેને દૂરથી ચલાવી શકાય છે.
ડૉ. હર્ષવર્ધને જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આજનો દિવસ એક મહત્વપૂર્ણ સીમાચિહ્નરૂપ છે કારણ કે, આપણે 500થી વધુ લેબોરેટરીમાં કોવિડ-19ના લગભગ 20 લાખ નમૂનાનું પરીક્ષણ કર્યું છે. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, આજે ખુશીના સમાચાર એ છે કે, છેલ્લા ત્રણ દિવસમાં કેસ બમણા થવાનો દર ધીમો પડીને 13.9 દિવસ થઇ ગયો છે જે અગાઉ 11.1 દિવસ હતો. તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, મૃત્યુ દર અત્યારે 3.2% છે જ્યારે સાજા થવાનો દર આજે વધુ સુધરીને 33.6% (ગઇ કાલે તે 32.83% હતો) થઇ ગયો છે. તેમણે વધુમાં એમ પણ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, (ગઇકાલ સુધીમાં) કોવિડ-19ના સક્રિય કેસોમાંથી 3.0% દર્દીઓ ICUમાં, 0.39% દર્દીઓ વેન્ટિલેટર પર અને 2.7% દર્દી ઓક્સિજન સપોર્ટ પર છે. આજે, 14 રાજ્યો/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશો એવા છે જ્યાં છેલ્લા 24 કલાકમાં કોવિડ-19નો કોઇ નવો કેસ નોંધાયો નથી. 14 મે 2020ના રોજ દેશમાં કોવિડ-19 કુલ પુષ્ટિ થયેલા 78,003 કેસમાંથી 26,235 દર્દી સાજા થયા; અત્યાર સુધીમાં કુલ 2,549 દર્દી કોવિડના કારણે મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે. છેલ્લા 24 કલાકમાં દેશમાં નવા 3,722 કોવિડ-19ના દર્દીઓ પોઝિટીવ આવ્યા હોવાની પુષ્ટિ થઇ છે.
PM CARES ભંડોળ ટ્રસ્ટ દ્વારા કોવિડ-19 સામેની લડાઇ માટે રૂ. 3100 કરોડ ફાળવવામાં આવ્યા PM CARES (આપત્તિની સ્થિતિમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીની નાગરિક સહાય અને રાહત) ભંડોળ ટ્રસ્ટ દ્વારા આજે કોવિડ-19 સામેની લડાઇ માટે રૂપિયા 3100 કરોડની ફાળવણી કરવાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે. આમાંથી અંદાજે રૂપિયા 2000 કરોડ વેન્ટિલેટરની ખરીદી માટે, રૂપિયા 1000 કરોડ વિસ્થાપિત શ્રમિકોની સંભાળ લેવા માટે અને રૂપિયા 100 કરોડ રસી વિકસાવવા માટે આપવામાં આવશે. સમગ્ર દેશમાં કોવિડ-19ના કેસોનું સંચાલન કરવા માટે ઇન્ફ્રાસ્ટ્રક્ચરમાં વૃદ્ધિ કરવાના આશયથી, 50,000 ‘મેડ ઇન ઇન્ડિયા’ વેન્ટિલેટર PM CARES ભંડોળમાંથી ફાળવવામાં આવેલી રકમમાંથી ખરીદવામાં આવશે. આનો અંદાજિત ખર્ચ રૂપિયા 2000 કરોડ થશે. આ વેન્ટિલેટર તમામ રાજ્યો/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશોમાં કોવિડ-19ના ગંભીર કેસોને ઉત્તમ સારવાર આપવા માટે સરકાર દ્વારા સંચાલિત તમામ કોવિડ હોસ્પિટલોમાં આપવામાં આવશે. તમામ રાજ્યો/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશોને PM CARES ભંડોળમાંથી ઉચ્ચક રૂપિયા 1000 કરોડની આર્થિક સહાય આપવામાં આવશે. આ રકમ રાજ્ય સરકાર/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશો દ્વારા તેમના જિલ્લા કલેક્ટરો/ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશનરોને આપવામાં આવશે જેથી ગરીબો અને શ્રમિકોને રહેવા માટેની સુવિધા, ભોજન તૈયાર કરવાની વ્યવસ્થા, તબીબી સારવાર અને પરપ્રાંતીય શ્રમિકોને પરિવહન માટે કરવામાં આવતી વ્યવસ્થામાં તેનો ઉપયોગ થઇ શકે. કોવિડ-19 રસીના ડિઝાઇનરો અને તેને વિકસાવનારાઓને સહાય આપવા માટે PM CARES ભંડોળમાંથી રૂપિયા 100 કરોડની આર્થિક સહાય કરવામાં આવશે. આ રકમનો ઉપયોગ રસીના વિકાસ માટે થશે, જેનો ઉપયોગ અગ્ર વૈજ્ઞાનિક સલાહકારની દેખરેખ હેઠળ કરવામાં આવશે.

રીઅલ એસ્ટેટ ક્ષેત્રે ઇઝ ઓફ ડુઇંગ બિઝનેસ સુનિશ્ચિત કરતી વખતે સરકાર ઘર ખરીદનારાઓના હિતો જાળવી રાખવા અને તેની સુરક્ષા કરવા માટે પ્રતિબદ્ધ છે
રીઅલ એસ્ટેટ ક્ષેત્રે ઇઝ ઓફ ડુઇંગ બિઝનેસ સુનિશ્ચિત કરતી વખતે સરકાર ઘર ખરીદનારાઓના હિતો જાળવી રાખવા અને તેની સુરક્ષા કરવા માટે પ્રતિબદ્ધ છે. કેન્દ્રીય નાણામંત્રી શ્રીમતી નિર્મલા સીતારમણે ગઇકાલે કરેલી જાહેરાતના પગલે, ઘર ખરીદનારા લોકોના હિતોનું રક્ષણ કરવાના આશયથી, કેન્દ્ર સરકારે તમામ રાજ્યો/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશો અને તેમના રીઅલ એસ્ટેટ નિયામક સંગઠનો માટે એક એડવાઇઝર બહાર પાડી છે જેથી RERA હેઠળ નોંધાયેલા તમામ રીઅલ એસ્ટેટ પ્રોજેક્ટ્સની નોંધણી મુદ્દત આપોઆપ છ મહિના સુધી લંબાવવામાં આવશે અને કોવિડ-19 મહામારીના કારણે જો વધુ જરૂર પડશે તો આ મુદત આપોઆપ વધુ 3 મહિના સુધી લંબાવવામાં આવશે. MoHUAએ તમામ રાજ્યો/ કેન્દ્ર શાસિત પ્રદેશો અને તેમના સંબંધિત રીઅલ એસ્ટેટ નિયામક સંગઠનોને એડવાઇઝરી બહાર પાડી છે કે, પ્રવર્તમાન કોવિડ-19 મહામારીને કુદરતી આપત્તિ તરીકે “અણધારી સ્થિતિ” માનવામાં આવે. આ પગલાં લેવાથી ઘર ખરીદનારા લોકોને તેમના ફ્લેટ/ ઘરનો કબજો મેળવવામાં અમુક મહિનાનો વિલંબ થશે પરંતુ તેમના પ્રોજેક્ટ્સ નિશ્ચિતપણ પૂર્ણ કરવામાં આવશે.
સ્રોત પર કર કપાત અને સ્રોત પર કર એકત્રિકરણનો દર ઘટાડવામાં આવ્યો
હાલમાં કોવિડ-19 મહામારીના કારણે ઉભી થઇ રહેલી આર્થિક સ્થિતિઓની મુશ્કેલીનો સામનો કરવામાં કરદાતાઓને રાહત મળે તેવા હેતુથી 14 મે 2020 થી 31 માર્ચ 2021 સુધીના સમયગાળામાં નિવાસીઓને કરવામાં આવેલી બિન-પગારદાર તરીકેની ચોક્કસ ચુકવણીમાં સ્રોત પર કર કપાત (TDS)નો દર 25% ઘટાડવાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે. વધુમાં, 14 મે 2020 થી 31 મે 2021ના સમયગાળા દરમિયાન વિશિષ્ટ પ્રાપ્તિઓ માટે સ્રોત પર કર એકત્રિકરણ (TCS)માં પણ 25%નો ઘટાડો કરવાનો નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે.
ભારતીય રેલવેએ 15 દિવસથી ઓછા સમયમાં “શ્રમિક વિશેષ” ટ્રેનો દ્વારા એક મિલિયન (10 લાખ)થી વધુ મુસાફરોને તેમના વતન રાજ્યોમાં પહોંચાડવાનું સીમાચિહ્ન પાર કર્યું
14 મે 2020 સુધીમાં સમગ્ર દેશના વિવિધ રાજ્યોમાં ભારતીય રેલવે દ્વારા કુલ 800 “શ્રમિક વિશેષ” ટ્રેનોનું પરિચાલન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ વિશેષ ટ્રેનો મારફતે 10 લાખથી વધુ મુસાફરોને તેમના ગૃહ રાજ્યમાં પહોંચાડવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ ટ્રેનો મુસાફરોને મોકલી રહેલા રાજ્ય અને તેઓ જ્યાં જઇ રહ્યા છે તે રાજ્ય બંને વચ્ચે સંમતિ થયા પછી જ ભારતીય રેલવે દ્વારા ચલાવવામાં આવે છે. વિવિધ ગંતવ્ય સ્થળોએ પહોંચેલી આ 800 ટ્રેનો આંધ્રપ્રદેશ, બિહાર, છત્તીસગઢ, હિમાચલ પ્રદેશ, જમ્મુ અને કાશ્મીર, ઝારખંડ, કર્ણાટક, મધ્યપ્રદેશ, મહારાષ્ટ્ર, મણીપૂર, મિઝોરમ, ઓડિશા, રાજસ્થાન, તામિલનાડુ, તેલંગાણા, ત્રિપૂરા, ઉત્તરપ્રદેશ, ઉત્તરાખંડ, પશ્ચિમ બંગાળ જેવા વિવિધ રાજ્યોમાં પહોંચી છે.
ભારતીય રેલવે 12.05.2020થી શરૂ કરવામાં આવેલી વિશેષ ટ્રેનોમાં વિવિધ શ્રેણી અનુસાર મર્યાદિત સંખ્યામાં વેઇટિંગ ટિકિટ આપવાનું શરૂ કરશે
ભારતીય રેલવેએ 12.05.2020ના રોજથી વિશેષ ટ્રેનો દ્વારા ફરી શરૂ કરવામાં આવેલી મુસાફર ટ્રેનોમાં કોઇ RAC (કેન્સલેશન સામે રિઝર્વેશન) ન રાખવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે. તેમજ, એવો પણ નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે કે, મર્યાદિત સંખ્યામાં વેઇટિંગ લિસ્ટમાં ટિકિટો ઇશ્યુ કરવામાં આવશે. ભારતીય રેલવે દ્વારા 12.05.2020થી ફરી શરૂ કરવામાં આવેલી વિશેષ ટ્રેનોના સંદર્ભમાં અન્ય વેઇટિંગના નિયમો લાગુ થવા પાત્ર રહેશે. કોઇપણ તત્કાલ/ પ્રીમિયમ તત્કાલ ક્વોટા નિર્ધારિત કરવામાં આવશે નહીં. વરિષ્ઠ નાગરિક ક્વોટા, મહિલા ક્વોટા અને દિવ્યાંગજનો (HP) માટે અન્ય ક્વોટા હયાત સૂચનાઓ અનુસાર નિર્ધારિત કરવામાં આવશે. આ ફેરફારો 22 મે 2020ના રોજથી શરૂ થતી ટ્રેનો માટે લાગુ થશે એટલે કે આ ટ્રેનો માટેનું બુકિંગ 15 મે 2020ના રોજથી શરૂ થશે.
ડૉ. હર્ષવર્ધને 32મી કોમનવેલ્થ આરોગ્યમંત્રીઓની બેઠકમાં ભાગ લીધો
કેન્દ્રીય આરોગ્ય અને પરિવાર કલ્યાણમંત્રી ડૉ. હર્ષવર્ધને આજે વીડિયો કોન્ફરન્સના માધ્યમથી 32મી કોમનવેલ્થ આરોગ્યમંત્રીઓની બેઠકમાં ભાગ લીધો હતો. આ બેઠકની થીમ- કોવિડ-19 સામે સંકલિત કોમનવેલ્થ પ્રતિક્રિયા હતી.
કેન્દ્રીય HRD મંત્રીએ વેબિનારના માધ્યમથી દેશભરના શિક્ષકો સાથે વાર્તાલાપ કર્યો
કેન્દ્રીય માનવ સંસાધન અને વિકાસમંત્રી શ્રી રમેશ પોખરિયાલ ‘નિશંકે’ આજે નવી દિલ્હીમાં વેબિનારના માધ્યમથી સમગ્ર દેશના શિક્ષણો સાથે વાર્તાલાપ કર્યો હતો અને ‘આચાર્ય દેવો ભવ:’નો સંદેશો આપ્યો હતો. વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને સમાજમાં મોટાપાયે કોવિડ-19 અંગે લોકોમાં જાગૃતિ ફેલાવવા બદલ મંત્રીશ્રીએ તમામ સહભાગીઓ પ્રત્યે કૃતજ્ઞતા વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. આ વેબિનારમાં મંત્રીશ્રીએ બે મોટી જાહેરાત કરી હતી. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, NETની પરીક્ષાની તારીખ ટુંક સમયમાં જાહેર કરવામાં આવે. તેમણે એવી પણ જાહેરાત કરી હતી કે, જે શિક્ષકોએ નવોદય વિદ્યાલયની ભરતી પ્રક્રિયા પૂર્ણ કરી દીધી છે તેમને લૉકડાઉન પરથી નિયુક્તિ પત્ર આપવામાં આવશે. તેમણે તમામ શિક્ષકોને અપીલ કરી હતી કે, તેઓ આ મહામારીના સમયમાં લૉકડાઉનની સ્થિતિ વચ્ચે પણ વિદ્યાર્થીઓનું શૈક્ષણિક કલ્યાણ જળવાઇ રહે તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરે.
લૉકડાઉનમાં પણ દાળ અને તેલીબિયાંની ખરીદી એકધારી ચાલી રહી છે
દેશમાં લૉકડાઉન લાગુ કરવામાં આવ્યું હોવા છતાં, રવી મોસમ 2020-21 માટે 277 લાખ મેટ્રિક ટનથી વધુ ઘઉં આવ્યા છે અને તેમાંથી અંદાજે 269 લાખ મેટ્રિક ટન ઘઉંની ખરીદી P-KISAN અંતર્ગત રૂ. 18,500 કરોડથી વધુ કિંમતે કરવામાં આવી છે. આ ખરીદીથી અંદાજે 9.25 ખેડૂત પરિવારોને લાભ થયો છે.
ભારતીય નૌસેના દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલા ઓછા ખર્ચના નવીનતમ PPEની પેટન્ટ લેવાથી ઝડપથી જથ્થાબંધ ઉત્પાદન માટે માર્ગ મોકળો થશે
ભારતીય નૌસેના દ્વારા તૈયાર કરવામાં આવેલા તબીબી વ્યક્તિગત સુરક્ષાત્મક ઉપકરણ (PPE) માટે સંરક્ષણ મંત્રાલયના બૌદ્ધિક સંપદા સુવિધા સેલ (IPFC) દ્વારા વિજ્ઞાન અને ટેકનોલોજી મંત્રાલય અંતર્ગત આવતા રાષ્ટ્રીય સંશોધન વિકાસ નિગમ (NRDC)ના સહયોગથી પેનન્ટ લેવાની અરજી સફળતાપૂર્વક દાખલ કરવામાં આવી છે. આ PPEને પેટન્ટ મળવાથી તેનું ઝડપથી અને જથ્થાબંધ ઉત્પાદન કરવાનો માર્ગ મોકળો થશે.
ઓપરેશન સમુદ્ર સેતુ- INS જલશ્વ બીજા તબક્કા માટે માલદીવ્સ પાછુ રવાના થયું
ઓપરેશન સમુદ્ર સેતુના ભાગરૂપે ભારતીય નૌસેનાનું જહાજ જલશ્વ બીજા તબક્કાની કામગીરી માટે માલદીવ્સના માલે ખાતે રવાના થયું છે – વિદેશમાં ફસાયેલા ભારતીયોને દરિયા માર્ગે પરત લાવવા માટે આ ઓપરેશન હાથ ધરાયું છે. આ જહાજ 15 મે 2020ના રોજ વહેલી સવારે માલેના બંદર ખાતે પહોંચશે અને પહેલાંથી જ માલદીવ્સમાં ભારતીય દૂતાવાસ ખાતે નોંધણી કરાવેલી છે તેવા ભારતીયોને લઇને પરત આવશે. આ બીજી સવારી દરમિયાન, INS જલશ્વમાં 700 ભારતીયોને પરત લાવવાની યોજના છે અને તે 15 મેના રોજ કોચીના બંદર ખાતે આવશે.
KVIC હાથ બનાવટના સ્થાનિક ઉત્પાદન માટે આગળ આવ્યું
ખાદી અને ગ્રામ્ય ઉદ્યોગ પંચ (KVIC)એ પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદી દ્વારા “વોકલ ફોર લોકલ” (સ્થાનિક ઉત્પાદનના પ્રહરી) બનવાના અને તેને “ગ્લોબલ” (વૈશ્વિક સ્તર) પર લઇ જવા માટે કરવામાં આવેલા આહ્વાનને સાર્થક કરવા માટે તૈયારીઓ કરી લીધી છે. સ્થાનિક ઉત્પાદનોને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવા માટે પ્રધાનમંત્રી દ્વારા કરવામાં આવેલી અપીલ પછી, KVICએ નિર્ણય લીધો છે કે, દરેક જિલ્લામાં N95 માસ્ક, વેન્ટિલેટર અથવા તેની એક્સેસરીઝ, તબીબી સ્ટાફ માટે PPE, સેનિટાઇઝર્સ/ લિક્વિડ હેન્ડવૉશ, થર્મલ સ્કૅનર અને અગરબત્તી તેમજ સાબુના ઉત્પાદન સંબંધિત ઓછામાં ઓછું એક એકમ ઉભું કરવામાં આવશે. દેશમાં કોવિડ-19ના કારણે પ્રવર્તમાન સંજોગોમાં વધતી માંગને પહોંચી વળવા માટે આ નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવ્યો છે.
કોવિડ-19 દરમિયાન દિવ્યાંગજનો અને વૃદ્ધ લોકોને પડી રહેલા પડકારો દૂર કરવા માટે DST સહાયક સાધનો, ટેકનોલોજી અને ટેકનિકોને સમર્થન આપે છે

● મહારાષ્ટ્ર: મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં એક જ દિવસમાં કોવિડ-19ના નવા 1495 કેસ નોંધાયા છે જ્યારે 54 વ્યક્તિનાં મરણ નીપજ્યાં છે, આ સાથે રાજ્યમાં કુલ કોવિડ પોઝિટીવ કેસની સંખ્યા વધીને 25,922 થઇ છે અને કુલ 975 દર્દી મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે. મુંબઇમાં ગઇકાલે ધારાવીમાં 66 નવા કોવિડ-19ના કેસ નોંધાયા છે જેથી આ વિસ્તારમાં કુલ કેસ વધીને 1028 થયા છે. ઉદ્યોગમંત્રી શ્રી સુભાષ દેસાઇએ માહિતી આપી હતી કે, રાજ્યમાં 65000 ઉદ્યોગોને ફરી કામગીરી શરૂ કરવા માટે મંજૂરી આપવામાં આવી છે જેમાંથી 35000 ઉદ્યોગોમાં ઉત્પાદનની પ્રવૃત્તિઓ પહેલાંથી જ શરૂ થઇ ગઇ છે અને તેમાં 9 લાખ જેટલા લોકોને રોજગારી મળી છે. દરમિયાન, મહારાષ્ટ્ર રાજ્ય માર્ગ પરિવહન નિગમની બસોએ છેલ્લા પાંચ દિવસમાં 73000 વિસ્થાપિત શ્રમિકોને તેમના સંબંધિત રાજ્યની સરહદો સુધી પહોંચાડ્યા છે. 42,000 વિસ્થાપિત શ્રમિકો તેમના વતન રાજ્યમાં જવા માટે શ્રમિક વિશેષ ટ્રેન દ્વારા રવાના થયા છે.
● ગુજરાત: ગુજરાતમાં કોવિડ-19ના નવા 364 કેસ નોંધાતા રાજ્યમાં કુલ પોઝિટીવ કેસનો આંકડો વધીને 9,267 થઇ ગયો છે. ગઇકાલે રાજ્યમાં નોંધાયેલા કુલ કેસોમાંથી માત્ર અમદાવાદમાં જ 292 કેસ નોંધાયા છે. ગુજરાત સરકારે લૉકડાઉન પછી રાજ્યને આર્થિક રીતે ફરી બેઠું કરવા માટે યોગ્ય પગલાંની ભલામણ કરવા નિષ્ણાતોની સમિતિનું ગઠન કર્યું છે. આ સમિતિને બે અઠવાડિયામાં વચગાળાનો અહેવાલ અને એક મહિનામાં અંતિમ અહેવાલ જમા કરવાનું કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. CMO સચિવ અશ્વિની કુમારે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આ સમિતિ કોવિડ-19ના કારણે દરેક ક્ષેત્રમાં થયેલા આર્થિક નુકસાનનો અંદાજ લગાવે અને દરેક ક્ષેત્ર અનુસાર જરૂરી ભલામણો આપશે.
● રાજસ્થાન: રાજસ્થાનમાં કોવિડ-19ના નવા 66 કેસ નોંધાયા છે જેથી રાજ્યમાં કુલ પોઝિટીવ કેસોની સંખ્યા વધીને 4394 સુધી પહોંચી ગઇ છે. રાજ્યમાં અત્યાર સુધીમાં કુલ 2575 દર્દીઓ સાજા થઇ ગયા છે જ્યારે 122 દર્દીનાં મૃત્યુ થયા છે. 28 મહિલાઓ અત્યાર સુધીમાં સારવાર બાદ સાજી થઇ છે અને તેમના સંતાનો સાથે તેમને હોસ્પિટલમાંથી રજા આપવામાં આવી છે. રાજસ્થાન સરકારે છ મુખ્ય શ્રેણીમાં દુકાનો અને વ્યાપરી સંસ્થાઓને ફરી શરૂ કરવા માટે મંજૂરી આપી દીધી છે. આમાં ખાદ્યચીજો, મીઠાઇની દુકાનો, ધોરીમાર્ગો પર આવેલા ઢાબા, હાર્ડવેરની દુકાનો, ઇમારતી સામગ્રી, ઇલેક્ટ્રિક અને ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક્સ તેમજ ઓટોમોબાઇલની દુકાનો પણ સામેલ છે. ખાદ્યચીજો અને મીઠાઇની દુકાનો માત્ર ટેક અવે અને હોમ ડિલિવરી માટે ખુલ્લી રહેશે.
● મધ્યપ્રદેશ: રાજ્યમાં છેલ્લા 24 કલાકમાં કોરોના વાયરસના વધુ 187 પોઝિટીવ કેસ નોંધાયા છે જેથી રાજ્યમાં કુલ કેસની સંખ્યા વધીને 4,173 થઇ છે. સારા સંકેતો એ છે કે, પાટનગર ભોપાલમાં 884 કેસોમાંથી 531 દર્દી અત્યાર સુધીમાં સાજા થઇ ગયા છે જે સાજા થવાનો 60 ટકા જેટલો આંકડો છે. આ ઉપરાંત ઇન્દોરમાં 45 ટકા, ખંડવામાં 48 ટકા દર્દીઓ અત્યાર સુધીમાં સાજા થઇ ગયા છે. રાષ્ટ્રીય સરેરાશ કરતા આ આંકડો વધુ છે.
● ગોવા: ગોવામાં કોવિડ-19ના દર્દીઓની સંખ્યા માત્ર એક જ દિવસમાં બમણી થઇને 14 પહોંચી ગઇ છે કારણ કે, સાત નવા પોઝિટીવ કેસ નોંધાયા છે. આ તમામ દર્દીઓ લૉકડાઉનના પ્રતિબંધોમાં આંશિક રાહત આપ્યા પછી જમીનમાર્ગ અથવા અન્ય માર્ગે રાજ્યમાં આવ્યા છે. આ સાત દર્દીઓને દક્ષિણ ગોવામાં કોવિડ-19 માટે સમર્પિત સુવિધામાં ગુરુવારથી સારવાર હેઠળ રાખવામાં આવ્યા છે.
● અરુણાચલ પ્રદેશ: રાજ્યના મુખ્ય સચિવે સમગ્ર રાજ્યમાં ક્વૉરેન્ટાઇને કેન્દ્રોનું સંચાલન કરી રહેલા અધિકારીઓને સહકાર આપવા અપીલ કરી છે તેમજ લૉકડાઉનમાં છુટછાટ આપવામાં આવી હોવા છતાં સુરક્ષા માટે નક્કી કરવામાં આવેલા પગલાંનું પાલન હજુ પણ અગાઉની જેમ જ કરવાનું રહેશે.
● આસામ: આસામમાં, મુંબઇથી આવેલા 7 દર્દીઓ અને તેમની સંભાળ લેનારાઓને ક્વૉરેન્ટાઇનમાં રાખવામાં આવ્યા હતા જેઓ હાલમાં કોવિડ-19 પોઝિટીવ હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે. રાજ્યના આરોગ્યમંત્રીએ ટ્વીટ કરીને જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પોઝિટીવ કેસની સંખ્યા 86, સાજા થયા 39 અને સક્રિય કેસ 44 છે જ્યારે બે દર્દી મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે.
● મણીપૂર: મણીપૂરમાં આંગણવાડી કામદારો, આગણવાડી હેલ્પરો અને મીની આંગણવાડી કામદારોને દર મહિને વેતન વધારીને અનુક્રમે રૂ. 3000થી વધારીને રૂ. 4,500, રૂ. 2250થી વધારીને રૂ. 3500 અને રૂ. 1500થી વધારીને રૂ. 2250 કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.
● મેઘાલય: મેઘાલયની વિધાનસભાના અધ્યક્ષ મેતબાહ લેંગ્ડોહે સર્વપક્ષીય બેઠક બોલાવી હતી. સરકાર અને વિપક્ષે પુનરોચ્ચાર કર્યો હતો કે, તેઓ કોવિડ-19 સામે અસરકારક લડવા માટે સંકલ્પબદ્ધ છે.
● મિઝોરમ: મુખ્યમંત્રીએ NGO, ચર્ચો, રાજકીય પક્ષો, ગામડાઓ અને સ્થાનિક કાઉન્સિલ તેમજ સ્થાનિક/ ગ્રામ્ય સ્તરના ટાસ્ક ફોર્સના પ્રતિનિધિઓ સાથે વિચારવિમર્શનું આયોજન કર્યું હતું અને રાજ્યમાં કોવિડ-19 મહામારી વચ્ચે લૉકડાઉન અને રાજ્યની સ્થિતિ અંગે ચર્ચા કરી હતી.
● નાગાલેન્ડ: નાગાલેન્ડમાં, રાજ્યમાં જ ફસાયેલા લોકોને તેમના ઘર સુધી પહોંચાડવાની બીજા તબક્કાની કામગીરી પૂર્ણ થઇ છે. 4 રાહત શિબિરોમાં 64 પરપ્રાંતીય શ્રમિકોને રાખવામાં આવ્યા છે. અન્ય 720 દૈનિક વેતનદારો અને ગરીબ લોકોને પણ ભોજન આપવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે.
● સિક્કીમ: રાજ્ય પ્રદૂષણ નિયંત્રણ બોર્ડે તમામ આરોગ્ય સંભાળ સુવિધાઓને કોવિડ-19ના દર્દીઓની સારવાર અને ક્વૉરેન્ટાઇન દરમિયાન નીકળતા કચરાનું વ્યવસ્થાપન, ટ્રીટમેન્ટ અને નિકાલ માટે નિર્ધારિત માર્ગદર્શિકાઓના ચુસ્ત અમલના નિર્દેશો આપ્યા છે.
● ચંદીગઢ: લૉકડાઉનના કારણે ચંદીગઢમાં, કેટલાક પરપ્રાંતીય શ્રમિકો, યાત્રાળુ, પર્યટકો, વિદ્યાર્થીઓ અને અન્ય ફસાયેલા છે. આવા લોકોને સરળતાથી આવનજાવન માટે ચંદીગઢના વહીવટીતંત્રએ તેમની આરામદાયક અને સલામત મુસાફરી માટે વ્યવસ્થાઓ વધારી છે. ISBT-43 ખાતે બે હોલ્ડિંગ સેન્ટર ઉભા કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ હોલ્ડિંગ કેન્દ્રો ખાતે, લોકોની તબીબી તપાસ કરવામાં આવે છે અને તેમણે આખી મુસાફરી દરમિયાન પોતાનું તબીબી પ્રમાણપત્ર સાથે રાખવું જરૂરી છે. હોલ્ડિંગ કેન્દ્રો ખાતે તેમને નાસ્તાના પેકેટ આપવામાં આવે છે અને રેલવે સ્ટેશન પર તેમને કોચમાં બેસતા પહેલાં ડીનર માટે તૈયાર ભોજનનું પેકેટ અને પાણીની બોટલ આપવામાં આવે છે.
● પંજાબઃ પંજાબ સરકાર સ્થળાંતરિત શ્રમિકોને પોતાના વતનમાં પાછા ફરવા સુવિધા પુરી પાડી રહી છે. અત્યાર સુધી 90 કરતાં વધારે ટ્રેનોએ આશરે 1,10,000 શ્રમિકોને પોતાના રાજ્યમાં પરત પહોચાડ્યાં છે. રાજ્ય સરકારે અત્યાર સુધી શ્રમિકોની હેરફેર માટે રૂ. 6 કરોડથી વધારે રકમનો ખર્ચ કર્યો છે. કોવિડ-19ના કારણે લૉકડાઉનના કારણે છેલ્લા 50 દિવસોથી બંધ રહેલી ખાદ્ય દુકાનો ખાસ કરીને મીઠાઇની દુકાનોને તેમના જૂના, વાસી અને બગડી ગયેલા ખાદ્ય ખોરાકના જથ્થાનો નાશ કરવા જણાવવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ ઉપરાંત વપરાશ માટેની અંતિમ તારીખ પસાર થઇ ગઇ હોય તેવા પેક કરેલા ખાદ્ય પદાર્થોનો નાશ કરવા અંગે પણ આદેશ અપાયો છે.
● હરિયાણાઃ મુખ્યમંત્રી શ્રી મનોહર લાલે આશા વ્યક્ત કરી છે કે MSME માટે જામીન-મુક્ત લોન તરીકે રૂ. 3 લાખ કરોડની રકમની ફાળવણી અંગે કેન્દ્રીય નાણાંમંત્રી શ્રીમતી નિર્મલા સીતારમને કરેલી જાહેરાત બાદ રાજ્યના આશરે 50 હજાર MSME એકમોને અંદાજિત રૂ.3,000 કરોડનો ફાયદો થશે. તેમણે વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે આજ રીતે શ્રીમતી નિર્મલા સીતારમને મુશ્કેલીનો સામનો રહેલા MSME માટે રૂ. 20,000 કરોડની ગૌણ લોનની જાહેરાત કરી છે, જેના કારણે હરિયાણાના આશરે 3,000 એકમોનો ફાયદો થશે. હરિયાણા સરકારે લૉકડાઉનના કારણે રાજ્યમાં ફસાયેલા લોકોની સુવિધા માટે 15 મે, 2020થી પસંદગીના રૂટ ઉપર વિશેષ બસ સેવાઓ શરૂ કરવાનો નિર્ણય લીધો છે. આ બસો હરિયાણામાં ફરશે, પરંતુ કોવિડ-19 કારણે ગંભીર રીતે પ્રભાવિત વિસ્તારોમાં વિશેષ બસ સેવા શરૂ કરવામાં આવશે નહીં.
● હિમાચલ પ્રદેશઃ મુખ્યમંત્રી જયરામ ઠાકુરે પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીના નેતૃત્વ હેઠળ રાષ્ટ્ર માટે જાહેર કરાયેલા રૂ. 20 લાખ કરોડના આર્થિક પેકેજની પ્રશંસા કરી છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે રાજ્યના અર્થતંત્રમાં આત્મનિર્ભરતા લાવવા માટે વિવિધ સંસ્થાઓ મારફતે ભારતમાં ઉત્પાદિત થયેલી પેદાશોના વેચાણનો નિર્ણય પણ લેવામાં આવ્યો છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે આ પગલાંના કારણે દેશ અને રાજ્યના ઉત્પાદનને ગતિ મળશે.
● કેરળઃ કોવિડ-19ના પોઝિટીવ વ્યક્તિ સાથે સંપર્કમાં આવ્યાં હોવાની શંકાના આધારે કોંગ્રેસના 3 સાંસદો અને 2 ધારાસભ્યોને 14 દિવસ માટે ક્વૉરેન્ટાઇનમાં જવા માટે કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. તેઓ કેરળવાસીઓના પ્રવેશ ઉપર મુકાયેલા નિયંત્રણ સામે વાલાયારમાં સરહદી ચેકપોસ્ટ ઉપર વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન કરી રહ્યાં હતા. ત્રણ પોલીસ અધિકારીઓના કોરોના ટેસ્ટ પોઝિટીવ આવ્યાં બાદ વાયાનાડમાં મનન્થાવાડી પોલીસ સ્ટેશનના તમામ પોલીસ અધિકારીઓને ક્વૉરેન્ટાઇન કરવામાં આવ્યાં છે. 10 નવા કેસ સાથે કુલ સંખ્યા 41 ઉપર પહોંચતાં રાજ્યમાં કોવિડ કેસોની સંખ્યામાં ઉછાળો આવ્યો છે. કુવૈતમાં કોવિડ-19ના કારણે એક મલયાલી નર્સે પોતાનો જીવ ગુમાવ્યો છે. વિદેશમાં કોવિડ-19ના કારણે 120થી વધારે કેરળવાસીઓના મૃત્યુ નિપજ્યાં છે.
● તામિલનાડુઃ શિક્ષણ મંત્રીએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે ધોરણ 10ની બોર્ડ પરીક્ષાઓ અંગે સરકાર 19મી મેના રોજ વિદ્યાર્થીઓના પરિવહન માટે નિવેદન બહાર પાડશે. રાજ્યમાં સેક્ટર 30ની PHCને કોવિડ સંભાળ કેન્દ્ર તરીકે નિર્ધારિત કરવામાં આવશે. ગઇકાલે નોંધાયેલા નવા 509 કેસો સાથે તામિલનાડુમાં કોવિડ-19નો કુલ આંક 9,000ના આંકને પાર કરી ગયો છે. રાજ્યમાં કુલ કેસોની સંખ્યા 9,227 છે, જેમાંથી 8,984 કેસો સક્રિય છે અને 64 લોકોના મરણ નીપજ્યાં છે. 2,176 લોકોને રજા આપવામાં આવી છે. ચેન્નઇમાં સક્રિય કેસોની સંખ્યા 5,262 છે.
● કર્ણાટકઃ આજે બપોરે 12 વાગ્યાં સુધી 22 નવા કેસ નોંધાયા હતા, જેમાંથી બેંગ્લોરમાંથી 5, બિદાર, માંડ્યા અને ગડગમાંથી 4-4, દેવાનગેરેમાંથી 3 અને બાગલકોટ અને બેલાગાવીમાંથી 1-1 કેસ નોંધાયા હતા. આજે કોવિડના કારણે મૃત્યુ પામેલા બે વ્યક્તિઓમાં દક્ષિણ કન્નડના 80 વર્ષીય વૃદ્ધા અને બેંગ્લોરના 60 વર્ષીય પુરુષનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. અત્યાર સુધી કુલ 981 કેસો નોંધાયા છે. મૃત્યુઆંક વધીને 35 પર પહોંચ્યો છે અને અત્યાર સુધી કુલ 456 લોકોને રજા આપવામાં આવી છે.
● આંધ્રપ્રદેશઃ રાજ્ય સરકારે ચેપગ્રસ્ત અને બફર વિસ્તારો સિવાય કરિયાણાની દુકાનોને સવારે 10થી સાંજે 5 વાગ્યાં સુધી ખોલવાની મંજૂરી આપતાં નિર્દેશો બહાર પાડીને લૉકડાઉનમાં વધુ રાહત આપી છે. રાજ્ય સરકાર RTC દ્વારા ચલાવાતી વિશેષ બસ દ્વારા હૈદરાબાદમાં ફસાયેલા લોકોને પરત લાવવા અંગે વિચારણાં કરી રહી છે. છેલ્લા 24 કલાક દરમિયાન રાજ્યમાં નવા 36 કેસો નોંધાયા હતા (મહારાષ્ટ્ર, ઓડિશા અને બંગાળના સ્થળાંતરિત શ્રમિકો સાથે સંબંધિત અન્ય 32 કેસો સિવાય), 50 લોકોને રજા આપવામાં આવી હતી અને 1 વ્યક્તિનું મરણ નીપજ્યું હતું. કુલ કેસોની સંખ્યા વધીને 2,100 થઇ ગઇ છે, જેમાંથી 860 કેસો હજુ પણ સક્રિય છે, 1,192 લોકો સાજા થઇ ગયા છે અને 48 લોકોના મરણ નીપજ્યાં છે. કોવિડ-19થી સૌથી પ્રભાવિત જિલ્લાઓમાં કુર્નૂલ (591), ગુંતૂર (404) અને ક્રિશ્ના (351)નો સમાવેશ થાય છે.
● તેલંગણાઃ ફિલિપાઇન્સ અને અમેરિકામાં ફસાયેલા 312 લોકોને બચાવીને વધુ બે વિમાનોએ ગુરુવારે હૈદરાબાદના રાજીવ ગાંધી આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય હવાઇ મથકે ઉતરાણ કર્યુ હતું. રાજ્યમાં ગઇકાલ સુધી કુલ પોઝિટીવ કેસોની સંખ્યા 1,367 હતી, જેમાંથી 939 લોકો સાજા થયા છે અને 34 લોકોના મરણ નીપજ્યાં છે. રાજ્યમાં હાલ કોવિડ-19 394 સક્રિય કેસો છે.[:en]Delhi ,14 MAY 2020
Dr Harsh Vardhan dedicates COBAS 6800 testing machine to the nation;Doubling time for last three days slows down to nearly 14 days
Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health & Family Welfare visited the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and dedicated the COBAS 6800 testing machine to the nation. This is the first such testing machine that has been procured by the Government for testing of COVID-19 cases.COBAS 6800 is a sophisticated machine enabled with robotics that minimizes the chance of contamination as well as the risk of infection to the health care workers since it can be operated remotely with limited human intervention.
Dr Vardhan said that today marks an important milestone as we have tested nearly 20 lakh tests for COVID-19 mark at more than 500 laboratories. He added that it is a heartening news that today, the last three days’ doubling time has slowed down to 13.9 days, while the doubling time in the past 14 days was 11.1. He added that the fatality rate is 3.2% and the recovery rate has further improved and today stands at 33.6% (it was 32.83% yesterday). He also added that (as of yesterday) there are 3.0% active COVID-19 patients in ICU, 0.39% on ventilators and 2.7% on oxygen support. Today, there are 14 States/UTs that have not reported any cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hrs. As on 14th May 2020, a total of 78,003 cases have been reported from the country in which 26,235 persons have been cured and 2,549 deaths had occurred. In the last 24 hours, 3,722 new confirmed cases have been added.
PM CARES Fund Trust Allocates Rs. 3100 Crore for Fight against COVID-19
PM CARES (Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations) Fund Trust has decided to allocate Rs. 3100 Crore for fight against COVID-19. Out of this, a sum of approximately Rs.2000 crore will be earmarked for the purchase of ventilators, Rs. 1000 crores will be used for care of migrant labourers and Rs.100 crores will be given to support vaccine development. 50000‘Made-in-India’ ventilators will be purchasedfrom PM CARES Fund at a cost of approximately Rs. 2000 Crores. These ventilators will be provided to government run COVID hospitals in all States/UTs,for better treatment of the critical COVID-19 cases.Rs. 1000 Crore from PM CARES Fund would be provided to the State Governments/UTs to place it at the disposal of the District Collectors/Municipal Commissioners for strengthening their efforts in providing accommodation facilities, making food arrangements, providing medical treatment and making transportation arrangementsof the migrants. To support the COVID-19 vaccine designers and developers, an amount of Rs. 100 Crore will be given as a helping hand to catalyse vaccine development, which will be utilized under the supervision of Principal Scientific Advisor.

Reduction in rate of Tax Deduction at Source & Tax Collection at Source
In order to provide more funds at the disposal of the taxpayers for dealing with the economic situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic, the rates of Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) for the non-salaried specified payments made to residents has been reduced by 25% for the period from 14th May, 2020 to 31st March, 2021. Further, the rate of Tax Collection at Source (TCS) for the specified receipts has also been reduced by 25% for the period from 14th May, 2020 to 31st March, 2021
Indian Railways crosses the milestone of transporting a total of more than one million passengers(10 lacs) to their home states through “Shramik Special” trains in less than 15 days
As on 14th May 2020, a total of 800 “Shramik Special” trains have been operationalized from various states across the country. More than 10 Lacs passengers have reached their home State. Trains are being run by Railways only after concurrence is given both by the State which is sending the passengers and the State which is receiving them.These 800 trains were terminated in various states like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Mizoram, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal.
Indian Railways will start issuing limited waiting lists tickets for different classes for Special Trains being introduced from 12.05.2020
Indian Railways has decided that there shall be no RAC (Reservation against cancellation) in special trains restored wef 12.05.2020. Also, it has been decided that waiting list tickets shall be issued subject to maximum limits. With respect to Special Trains, other rules concerning waiting list shall be applicable.No Tatkal/Premium Tatkal Quotas shall be defined.Senior Citizen Quota, Ladies Quota and Quota for Divyangjans(HP) shall be defined as per extant instructions.The above changes shall be made applicable for the trains starting on 22nd May, 2020 i.e. booking for which shall commence from 15th May, 2020.

KVIC comes forward to hand-hold local production
Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has geared up to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call to become “vocal for local” and further making it “global”To boost the local production, KVIC has decided that at least one unit each pertaining to manufacture of N95 masks, ventilators or its accessories, PPE Kits for medical staff, sanitizers/liquid hand wash, thermal scanner and agarbatti and soap will be set up in each district. This is in order to meet the growing demand due to prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country.

Maharashtra: Maharashtra has reported the single-day highest 1,495 new Covid-19 cases and 54 deaths, taking the overall case count to 25,922 and the number of fatalities to 975. With 66 new COVID-19 cases reported in Dharavi of Mumbai yesterday, the area tally of positive cases has surged to 1,028.Industries Minister Subhash Desai informed that 65000 industries have been granted permission to resume operations in state, of which 35,000 industries have already started production activities, with over 9 lakh employees reporting for work. Meanwhile, the buses of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation have ferried nearly 73,000 migrant labourers in the last five days, upto their respective state borders. 42,000 migrants have left for their home states taking the Shramik Express train services.
Gujarat:364 positive cases have been reported in Gujarat taking the tally of Covid patients in the state to 9,267. Yesterday, 292 of all the positive cases were reported from Ahmedabad alone. Gujarat government has formed an expert committee to recommend economic revival measures to the state post lockdown. The committee has been asked to submit its interim report within two weeks and a final report within one month. CMO Secretary Ashwini Kumar said the committee will make estimates of sectoral economic loss incurred to each sector due to Covid 19 and will give sector-specific recommendations.
Rajasthan: 66 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Rajasthan which takes the number of Covid-19 cases to 4394. While 2575 patients have recovered so far, 122 deaths have also been reported till date from the state. 28 of these women have recovered after treatment and returned home with their babies.Rajasthan Government has allowed reopening of shops and commercial establishments in six key categories. These include eateries, sweet shops, dhabas on the highways, hardware shops, building material, electric and electronics and automobile shops. The eateries and sweet shops are open only for take away or home delivery.
MadhyaPradesh:With 187 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the state, the overall tally rose to 4,173. The good sign is that, out of the total 884 patients in the capital Bhopal, 531 have been cured so far, which is remarkable 60 percent. Similarly, 45 percent of patients in Indore, 48 percent in Ujjain, 57 percent in Khargoan, 46 percent in Dhar and 48 percent patients in Khandwa have been cured so far. This is more than the national average.
Goa: Goa’s Covid 19 tally doubled overnight to 14, as seven new positive cases were reported and all among those who entered the state by road after the lockdown restrictions were partially eased. The seven patients are undergoing treatment at the dedicated Covid-19 facility in South Goa from Thursday morning.
Arunachal Pradesh: Chief Secretary called upon people to cooperate with officials who are managing Quarantine centres across state, all preventive and protective measures will remain same despite relaxation in lockdown.
Assam: In Assam, 7 patients and attendants who came from Mumbai and now in quarantine tested COVID19 positive. Positive cases 86, discharged 39, active 44 and 2 deaths, State Health Minister tweeted.
Manipur: Honorarium for Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers & Mini Anganwadi workers in Manipur will be increased from Rs.3,000 per month to Rs.4,500 , Rs.2,250 to Rs. 3,500 & Rs.1,500 to Rs.2,250 respectively.
Meghalaya:. An All Party Meeting was convened by Meghalaya Assembly Speaker, Metbah Lyngdoh.Govt and Opposition reaffirmed their resolve to fight COVID19 effectively.
Mizoram: CM called a consultation meeting with representatives of NGOs, Churches, political parties, Village and Local Councils and local/village level task forces to discuss about Lockdown and the State’s plan amidst COVID19 pandemic.
Nagaland: In Nagaland, phase II of movement of locally stranded persons concludes. 64 migrant workers being housed in 4 relief camps. Another 720 daily wagers & poor people are in provided food.
Sikkim: State Pollution Control Board directed all healthcare facilities to strictly implement the guidelines for handling, treatment and disposal of waste generated during treatment and quarantine of COVID19 patients.
Chandigarh: Due to lockdown, some of the migrant workers, pilgrims, tourists, students and other persons are stranded in Chandigarh. For smooth movement of these persons, the Chandigarh Administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure their comfortable and safe journey. Two Holding Centres have been set up at ISBT-43. At Holding Centres, the persons are medically examined and they are required to carry the medical certificate throughout the journey. At Holding Centre they are provided packed lunch packet and at Railway Station they are provided packed dinner with water bottle before boarding in assigned coaches.
Punjab: Punjab government has been facilitating return of migrants to their native states. Till now more than 90 trains have left from Punjab taking 1,10,000 migrants to their states. State government has spent more than Rs 6 crore to fund movement of these migrants till now. The food shops especially halwai shops which remained closed in the lockdown in last 50 days due to COVID 19 have been asked to destroy whole of the old, stale and putrefied food material. Also the packaged food stuff where the expiry date has crossed has also been ordered to be destroyed.
Haryana: Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has expressed hope that about 50 thousand MSME units in the State would get a benefit of approximately Rs. 3000 crore after the announcement made by Union Finance Minister, Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman for earmarking an amount of Rs. 3 lakh crore as collateral-free loan for MSMEs. Similarly, Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman has also announced sub-ordinate loan of Rs. 20000 crore for stressed MSMEs, which will also benefit around 3000 units in Haryana, he added. The Haryana government has decided to start special bus services on selected routes from May 15, 2020 to facilitate the people stranded within the state due to lockdown. The buses will ply only in Haryana but the special bus service will not be started in areas severely affected with COVID-19.
Himachal Pradesh: Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has hailed the Rs 20 lakh crore economic package announced for the Nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that it has also been decided to sell the products manufactured in India through various institutions to bring self-sufficiency in the economy of the state. He said that this would give a boost to the production of the country and the state.
Kerala: 3 MPs and 2 MLAs of Congress have been asked to go on a 14-day quarantine on suspicion that a person tested positive for Covid-19 had come in contact with them. They were protesting at the border check post in Walayar over restricting entry of Keralites. Over 400 people including police officials, RDO, journalists have been quarantined. All the Police officials in Mananthavady Police station in Wayanad have been quarantined after three police officers of the station tested positive. Covid cases got a spike in the state yesterday with 10 fresh cases taking the tally to 41. One Malayalee nurse has lost her life to COVID-19 in Kuwait. Over 120 Keralites have succumbed to Covid abroad.
Tamil Nadu: Regarding Class X Board Exams, Government will issue statement on transportation of students on May 19, says Education Minister. Select 30-bed PHCs to be designated as Covid care centres in the State. Tamil Nadu’s Covid tally past 9,000-mark with 509 new cases yesterday. Total cases till now: 9227, Active cases: 6984, Deaths: 64, Discharged: 2176. Active cases in Chennai are 5262.
Karnataka : 22 new cases reported till 12pm today: Bangalore 5, four each in Bidar, Mandya and Gadag, Davangere 3 and one each in Bagalkot & Belagavi. Today one person died in Kalburgi. Two succumbed to Covid today:, 80 year old women in Dakshin Kannada and 60 year old men in Bangalore. Total cases till now 981. Death toll rise to 35 and 456 people discharged till now.
Andhra Pradesh: State further eases lockdown, extends time for grocery stores, issues directives permitting shops to open from 10 am to 5 pm except in containment and buffer zones. State, contemplating to bring back stranded people in Hyderabad through special busses run by RTC. 36 fresh cases reported (besides another 32 cases related to migrants belonging to Maharashtra, Odisha and Bengal); 50 discharged and one death reported in the last 24 hours after testing 9256 samples. Total cases rise to 2100. Active cases: 860, Recovered: 1192, Deaths: 48. Districts leading in +ve cases: Kurnool (591), Guntur (404) & Krishna (351).
