Ahmedabad, 30 November 2024
‘Give us jobs, don’t do drugs…’, protest held in front of Adani Port in Mundra. But now since the youth in Gujarat are on the path of drugs, it is being said that give us drugs, not jobs. A similar trend is being seen in the double engine government. Therefore, the youth protested in front of Gautam Adani’s Mundara port, which is a major gateway to de-addiction, and demanded Rs. 21 thousand crore drugs case and demanded to catch the real culprits.
Drugs worth more than 50,000 crores have been recovered from Adani Port in Kutch. Apart from this, the number of registered unemployed inside Kutch in 2022 has been shown to be more than 95000, but in reality there are more than 2 lakh unemployed in Kutch. The government has given land to many companies inside Kutch. Therefore, local youth should be given employment in it.
While only Rs 768 crore worth of drugs were seized during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s tenure in 2006-13, it increased almost 30 times to Rs 22,000 crore in 2014-22, which is 181% more cases against drug smugglers than before. The money earned from smuggling is used against the country’s security.
2500 percent increase
Between 2006 and 2013, 1.52 lakh kg of drugs were seized. While from 2014 to 2022, 3.30 lakh kg was seized with a 200 percent increase. Now Amit Shah suddenly announced 22 thousand crores on 26 June 2023. In which the drugs worth Rs 21 thousand crore seized at Adani’s Mundara port have not been shown. This is a big question.
Congress alleged that there is collusion between Adani and the government and that is why no action has been taken against Adani till now. Congress demands that the government should give jobs to the youth instead of defending Adani. There has been no investigation into where the drugs seized from the port came from, who ordered them, where they were going.
Drugs have been seized several times at Mundra Adani port. However, no action is taken by the government against the port owner or officials. Therefore, the ‘Naukri Do, Nasha Mat Karo…’ campaign was started. Protests were held outside Adani Mundara port. 30 were detained. There was also a scuffle between the police and the leaders. About 30 Congress workers were released after detention.
Two years ago, the Youth Congress had protested by raising slogans outside the Adani office in Mithakhali, Ahmedabad on the issue of seizure of drugs at Adani Port in Mundra.
50 lakh people in Gujarat are addicted to drugs
If we consider all types of drug addiction, it is estimated that 9 to 10 crore people in India are addicted to drugs. As drug addiction has become glamorized and has become a favourite among the rich, it can be estimated that 50 lakh people in 5% of the country and 1 crore people in 10% of the country are addicted to drugs. It is not possible for such a large amount of drugs to come to India without anyone’s cooperation. Which is a threat to Gujarat.
Recently, after Udaybhanu Chimba was elected President of All India Youth Congress, he came on a 3-day tour of Gujarat state.
Youth in Gujarat state have many problems. There are no jobs and the government is conspiring to ruin the youth by giving them drugs. ‘Naukri Do Nasha Nahi’ program was organized on 29 November at Thakorbhai Desai Hall, Law Garden, Ahmedabad.
Drugs worth crores recovered from Mundara port. Many families are getting ruined, BJP government is in power in Gujarat for the last 27 years. But in Gujarat state, drugs are being smuggled in large quantities. Work is being done at the behest of the government.
All India Youth Congress President Udaybhanu Chib said that due to the Jugalbandi of BJP government and Adani, drugs worth more than Rs 50,000 crore have been recovered from Mundra port. The people of the country know at whose behest these drugs are coming. Despite all the information to the government, no action is being taken. Today’s youth need jobs, not alcohol. India’s image is also getting tarnished because of Adani. Adani company has been blacklisted in America, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya and protests are being held against it. This has tarnished India’s image in the world.
A month ago, the West Kutch District Youth Congress Executive had given guidance on the topic ‘Nori Do Nasha Nahi’ at the Circuit House in Bhuj.
Heroin, cocaine, ganja, opium, poshadoda, mephedrone etc. narcotics worth Rs 3955 crore 51 lakh 70 thousand 262 were seized from 21 districts in two years till 2024. 3400 accused involved in the crimes are also yet to be arrested.
A major port of the country
On June 17, 2024, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Company, a company of the Gautam Adani Group, got approval from the Central Government from the Environment and Coastal Regulation Zone to double the capacity of Mundra port from 225 to 514 million tonnes at a cost of Rs. 45,000 crore.
Therefore, Mundara has been declared the fourth most polluted industrial site in India.
Many complaints are being received in Vavar village of Mundara including coal dust of Carbon Aids Company for the last three years, dust flying in ponds for 12 years, violation of call handling guidelines. Coal dust has made the surrounding fields barren. Standing crops have dried up. Coal chemical water is released into the pan. This company located in Chhasra produces low ash metallurgical coke. The factory was closed due to pollution.
Pollution from noise and deforestation
With Adani on setting up of international airport, air cargo station, aerospace operation
During the Loksunwai of the Yavran Department, the areas of 24 villages including Kundrodi, Luni, Gorsma, Sheikhdia, Sadau, Baroi, Mundara are affected by this project. In which it was decided to give clearance by the Central Government on the basis of complete investigation and compliance with the necessary conditions after the environmental report.
A major commercial port
As India’s largest commercial port and the top container port in terms of volume, Mundra handled 179.6 million tonnes of cargo including 7.4 million TEUs in FY 2024. It occupies more than one-third of India’s cargo. Cargo handling will exceed 200 million tonnes by 2025. Becoming India’s first port.
In 2024, Adani Ports and SEZ handled about 27 per cent of India’s total cargo and 44 per cent of container cargo.
Due to the closure of Gangavaram Port, APSEZ suffered a cargo volume loss of 6 million metric tonnes (MMT) in April and May 2024.
Drunk India, drug addiction increased 25 times in Modi Raj!
