While only Rs 768 crore worth of drugs were seized during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s tenure in 2006-13, it increased almost 30 times to Rs 22,000 crore in 2014-22, which is 181% more cases against drug smugglers than before. The money earned from smuggling is used against the country’s security.
2500 percent increase
Between 2006 and 2013, 1.52 lakh kg of drugs were seized. While from 2014 to 2022, 3.30 lakh kg was seized with a 200 percent increase. Congress alleged that there is collusion between Adani and the government and that is why no action has been taken against Adani till now. There has been no investigation into where the drugs seized from the port came from, who ordered them, where they were going.
Drugs have been seized several times at Mundra Adani port. However, no action is taken by the government against the port owner or officials. Therefore, the ‘Naukri Do, Nasha Mat Karo…’ campaign was started. Protests were held outside Adani Mundara port. 30 were detained. There was also a scuffle between the police and the leaders. About 30 Congress workers were released after detention.

50 lakh people in Gujarat are addicted to drugs
If we consider all types of drug addiction, it is estimated that 9 to 10 crore people in India are addicted to drugs. As drug addiction has become glamorized and has become a favourite among the rich, it can be estimated that 50 lakh people in 5% of the country and 1 crore people in 10% of the country are addicted to drugs. It is not possible for such a large amount of drugs to come to India without anyone’s cooperation. Which is a threat to Gujarat.

Youth in Gujarat state have many problems. There are no jobs and the government is conspiring to ruin the youth by giving them drugs. ‘Naukri Do Nasha Nahi’ program was organized on 29 November at Thakorbhai Desai Hall, Law Garden, Ahmedabad.

A month ago, the West Kutch District Youth Congress Executive had given guidance on the topic ‘Nori Do Nasha Nahi’ at the Circuit House in Bhuj.
Heroin, cocaine, ganja, opium, poshadoda, mephedrone etc. narcotics worth Rs 3955 crore 51 lakh 70 thousand 262 were seized from 21 districts in two years till 2024. 3400 accused involved in the crimes are also yet to be arrested.
A major port of the country
On June 17, 2024, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Company, a company of the Gautam Adani Group, got approval from the Central Government from the Environment and Coastal Regulation Zone to double the capacity of Mundra port from 225 to 514 million tonnes at a cost of Rs. 45,000 crore.

Coal dust has made the surrounding fields barren. Standing crops have dried up. Coal chemical water is released into the pan. This company located in Chhasra produces low ash metallurgical coke. The factory was closed due to pollution.

Arrests increased by 260 percent
A total of 1257 cases were reported between 2006 and 2013, while between 2014 and 2022, it increased by 152 percent to 3172 cases. The total number of arrests between 2006 and 2013 was 4,888, which is 260 percent more than the previous 1,362.
