[:en]Gujarat Govt sign MoU with Netherlands for production PAL-V flying cars by mid-2021[:]

[:en]Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat Government signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Netherlands here today to start commercial production of Personal Air and Land Vehicle (PAL-V) flying cars by mid-2021.

The MoU was signed on behalf of PAL-V by International Business Development Vice-President Carlo Massbommel with Gujarat’s Principal Secretary for Industries M. K. Das.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rupani expressed happiness at the company selecting Gujarat among other states for its unit to build a New India. He said the state will assist the company getting necessary permission from Government of India. He exuded confidence the new plant will begin a new bright chapter in the state which has already become a manufacturing and auto hub as a role model of development in the country. He assured the company his government’s full support in the new venture.

Impressed by Gujarat’s best infrastructure, logistic ports facilities, ease-of-doing business, Mr. Massbommel said the company narrowed down to Gujarat after studying the options for low cost production, favourable atmosphere and export facility. It has meanwhile received orders for 110 such flying cars from Europe and USA. The company has received necessary permission for commercial launch the flying car, fitted with Rotax engines capable of 160 kmph speed on road and 180 kmph in air to travel up to 500 km with full tank.
