Keshod BJP leader took money for IPS transfer

BJP leaders have opened shops to get transfers and promotions. An emerging leader from Keshod taluka level of Junagadh took recommendation letters from some MLAs and other leaders to lobby at high level for the appointment of an IPS in Junagadh and handed it over to the government. The leaders-MLAs who gave the letters from high level were reprimanded. The officer had to ask for the money back from the BJP leader on this pretext.

When the emerging leader went to another leader to get the recommendation letter, one leader insisted to talk to the officer and convinced him to talk. In return for this recommendation letter, he had recommended to be cautious of future political conspiracies and to be on the lookout for his political rivals. He had already made preparations to show political revenge.

Most of the Superintendents of Police of the state were transferred. An emerging BJP leader from Keshod taluka level had extorted a huge amount of money from a senior IPS officer by promising to lobby with local leaders for his transfer to Junagadh.

When the recommendation letter reached the government, the person who gave the letter was reprimanded by the higher officials saying, ‘We do not even have the expertise to transfer a senior officer, it is decided by the Union Minister and you have given a letter for his transfer.’ This is a government matter and the government will do its work, so do not get involved in such a matter.
