[:en]Land acquisition of 14 villages in Surat, Navsari 8 and Valsad 2 for the Bullet Train project[:]

The issue of bullet train was specially discussed at the Collector’s Conference held at Narmada Hall of the Golden Secret complex of the Secretariat. Taking into account how far the land acquisition work has come from all the districts where the bullet train is passing through and how much has been paid to the farmers, state revenue minister Kaushik Patel said that 80 percent of the land has been acquired for the bullet train.

While 20 per cent of the land is still stuck between the prices and market prices of the janitor. A bullet train will be passed through 24 villages of Surat Valsad and Navsari. Due to errors in assessment of land prices, the work has been halted and land acquisition has not been completed yet. It is to be noted that so far 80% of the land has been acquired for the bullet train. Of this, Rs 21 crore has already been paid. Revenue Minister Kaushik Patel further said[:]
