Bhoomipujan of Ram temple in Ayodhya will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 5 August. BJP MP Subramanian Swamy said in a statement that “Prime Minister Modi has not contributed in the construction of Ram temple. Modi has not done any such work on behalf of the government, about which we can say that the decision of the court has come because of him.
Swamy said that those working included Rajiv Gandhi of Congress, PV Narasimha Rao of Congress and Ashok Singhal of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Swami also said that Vajpayee was also a hindrance in this. If Rajiv Gandhi had become Prime Minister again, Ram temple would have been built in Ayodhya. Rajiv Gandhi opened the disputed site and also approved the ground function for the Ram temple but things changed with his change.
A Union minister close to Narasimha Rao has revealed that Rao wanted to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya even before the Babri demolition in 1992. He prepared an action plan for this but later his plan could not succeed due to differences between the Shankaracharyas and Pitharis of different monasteries. Ashok Singhal, former president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and international general secretary Drs. Pravin Togadia worked to sharpen the Ram temple movement.

Ram Sethu’s file has been lying on his table for five years. The BJP leader himself has made such harsh remarks against his own leader. The file declaring Ram Setu as a national heritage has been lying on the Prime Minister’s table for the last five years, but he has not signed it yet. I can go to court and get an order, but I feel bad that we have to go to court despite being a party.
