Case of recovery of intoxicating codeine syrup worth crores from Rangpar
In the presence of local officials and police, Morbi police broke the lock of Dhanbad Panthak’s warehouse and seized 26 thousand bottles of syrup.
Morbi: After police seized intoxicating syrup worth crores from a warehouse near Rangpar in Morbi, Morbi police reached Jharkhand for investigation. From where the police have recovered another amount of Rs 54 lakh. The main accused in the syrup case has been given remand till the 16th after appearing in the court.
Morbi police seized three Isamos along with syrup worth Rs 1.84 crore, a vehicle and other valuables worth more than Rs 2 crore. Whereas the main accused of Sirpakdan, Ravi Kandia is absconding and the team was successful in arresting him and the arrested accused will be presented in the court on the next date. He has been remanded till 16. Three teams of Morbi police are investigating in different directions as it has been found that a large quantity of syrup has come from Jharkhand.
In which a team reached Jharkhand to investigate. Whereas in the warehouse located at Bhelatand-Barwadda in Dhanbad district, the lock of the warehouse was broken in the presence of the magistrate, excise department and police station in-charge. At that time, local officials and Morbi police were also on alert, more than 26 thousand syrup bottles were found in the warehouse, so the police seized more syrup worth Rs 54 lakh. Even after unloading, an amount of Rs 54 lakh has been found in Morbi. Morbi police then conducted further investigation and launched rounds of investigation to nab the absconding Isamos along with the businessman from Tripura.
