Due to the One Nation-One Ration Card scheme of the Central Government, ration can be taken from any other state apart from the original state. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had mentioned this while announcing the economic package.

One Nation – One card will start
For nationwide ration card, the scheme of One Nation-One Card will be fully implemented from June 1. The benefit of this scheme will be that the ration card is made in any state, it can be used in other states to buy ration. This will greatly benefit the poor.

Ration card holders will get five kg of rice at the rate of three rupees and wheat at the rate of two rupees per kg. The card will be issued in two languages ​​- local language and Hindi or English.

Finance Minister said that those who do not have ration card or any card will also be given the help of 5 kg wheat, rice and one kg gram. 8 crore migrant laborers will benefit from this. It will cost 3500 crores rupees. It will be made effective through state governments. States only have information about these workers. This process will continue for the next two months.

It will also help to stop fake ration card.
The system of connecting all ration cards to the Aadhar card and distributing food grains through the Point of Sale, PoS machine will start soon.
85 percent of Aadhaar cards have been connected to point of sale (POS) machines.
100 percent POS machines have been installed in 22 states.

With this scheme, the general public will no longer be tied to any PDS shop and dependence on shop owners will be reduced and corruption will also reduce. With this scheme, the government will provide full portability for all ration cards by creating a central repository and connecting them to Aadhaar. This will ease people as they will not be forced to buy from any one ration shop.
