According to news agency ANI, three jawans of four Assam Rifles units were killed and four others were injured in an ambush by militants of the local group People’s Liberation Army at Paso Chandel on the Myanmar border. In which 3 jawans have been martyred and the condition of 6 is reported to be serious. The injured soldiers have been admitted to a military hospital in Phamfal West district, sources said. The militants first detonated IEDs and then opened fire on soldiers, according to ANI. Reinforcement has been sent to the area, 100 km from Imphal.
