The good news : Central contract employers will get lock-down pay

To prevent and prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus virus, the central government has facilitated its officers and employees to work from home. It has now been decided to provide such facility to the employees working on behalf of the contractors in the Union Ministries and Departments.

It was not initially clear whether he would get ‘work from home’ during the lockdown. Such workers were worried that they would not be paid. Now the Expenditure Department of the Ministry of Finance has clarified that outsourced employees will be considered on duty during the lockdown period. They will be paid the same as permanent workers.

Explain that under the guidelines issued on March 23, ministries, departments, organizations, legal and autonomous branches of the Central Government were authorized to work from home. These departments also had many employees who were employed under the outsourced policy.

On May 22, all such temporary employees were assured by the Expenditure Department of the Ministry of Finance that they would consider pay on duty during the lockdown period. They will get whatever salary allowance is fixed for this. However, contractors will also benefit greatly from this.
