There are total 185 rivers in Gujarat. The river system of Gujarat is mainly divided into three parts.

Rivers of Tal Gujarat
Lower Gujarat which is the region from Banaskantha to Valsad.
Gujarat has the least i.e. 17 rivers.

Gujarat is rich in terms of water content. That is why the most fertile plains are located here. Since most of the rivers here come from outside Gujarat, there is a good amount of agriculture in this area due to the high water rivers.
