1120 કરોડનું શાળા વાહનોના માલિકોને નુકસાન 8 મહિનામાં સરેરાશ મહિને રૂ.800 પ્રમાણે થયું છે. તેઓ 17થી 22 લાખ બાળકોને શાળાએ લઈ જતા હતા જે કોરોનાના કારણે બંધ છે. 33.33 કરોડનો વેરો અને વિમો તેઓએ ચૂકવવો પડ્યો છે. 1.25 લાખ શાળા વર્ધીના લોકો બેકાર બની ગયા છે. વાન અને રિક્ષા ઉપરાંત બીજા સાધનોનો શાળા-કોલેજનો ખર્ચ ગણવામાં આવે તો રૂ.5 હજાર કરોડનું નુકસાન ગણવામાં આવે છે.
અમદાવાદમાં રીક્ષા અને વાન ચાલકો 25000 સ્કૂલ વર્ધી સાથે સંકળાયેલા છે, ત્યારે આ કપરી પરિસ્થિતિમાં સરકાર અથવા શાળા સંચાલકોથી એસોસિએશનએ મદદ માંગી છે. વડોદરામાં 7500 સ્કૂલ વર્ધીના વાહનો છે. સુરતમાં 24000 વાહનો છે. બાકીના નાના-મધ્યમ શહેરો અને ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારોમાં છે હાઇકોર્ટે સ્કૂલ વર્ધી વાનમાં 14 અને રિક્શામાં 6થી વધુ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને બેસાડવા પર પ્રતિબંધ ફરમાવ્યો છે.

એમ્બ્યુલંસનો દરજ્જો આપો
ડૉ. હિમાંશુ પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું. વિદ્યાર્થીઓના સમય, સુરક્ષા, શાંતિ માટે સરકારે શાળા પરિવહન માટે કામ કરતા વાહનને એમ્બ્યુલન્સ જેવો દરજ્જો આપવો જોઈએ એવી માંગણી છે.
કોંગ્રેસની માંગ

સરકારને કોરોડોની આવક પણ મદદ 0
માંગમી છે કે, વિમો, પેટ્રોલ, ડીઝલ, વાહહનો વેરો, વાહન પરની લોન ઉપરનું વ્યાજથી સરકારને મોટી આવક થાય છે. આવી કટોકટીના સમયે સરકારે સ્કુલ પરિવહનના પરિવારોને મદદ કરવી જોઈએ. માર્ચ મહિનાથી સ્કુલ પરિવહન સાથે જોડાયેલા પરિવારોના રોજગાર બંધ છે. તેના લીધે સ્કુલ વર્ધીના વાહન માલીક તથા ડ્રાઈવરને આજદિન સુધી કોઈ પણ પ્રકારની આર્થિક સહાય સરકાર તરફથી મળેલી નથી. સ્કુલવર્ધીના વાહન માલીક તથા ડ્રાઈવરોને તાત્કાલીક સહાય મળે તેવી માંગણી છે. ડૉ. હિમાંશુ પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું.
આર્થીક પેકેજ આપો – ડો.હિમાંશુ
શાળાવાન સાથે સંકળાયેલા લોકો માટે અલગથી આર્થીક પેકેજ આપવામાં આવે. લોન સ્વરૂપે જેમા ઓછા વ્યાજ અને ઓછા ડોક્યુમેન્ટથી લોન આપો. જે વાહનો ઉપર લોનોનું ભારણ ચાલુ છે તેવા માલિકોને વ્યાજ માફી આપવામાં આવે એવી માંગણી છે. સ્કૂલ વાહનોમાં ભરવાપાત્રના વીમા પ્રિમીયમમાં પણ રાહત આપવામાં આવે. બેરોજગાર થઈ ગયેલા હોવાથી તેમના ઘરનું ભરણપોષણ કરવામાં સરકારે તાત્કાલીક આર્થિક સહાય આપવી જોઈએ. ડૉ. હિમાંશુ પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું.
અત્મઘાત કરે કે ગાંધી આશ્રમ જઈને બેસે
ડૉ. હિમાંશુ પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, સરકાર તરફથી કોઈપણ જાતની આર્થિક મદદ નહીં આપવામાં આવે તો આ સ્કૂલવર્ધીના મિત્રો અસામાજીક પ્રવૃત્તિ તરફ વળે અથવા તો આત્મઘાતી પગલુ ભરે તેવી શક્યતાઓ રહેલી છે.
ઉપર મુજબની માંગણી સ્વીકારવામાં નહીં આવે તો ટૂંક સમયમાં ગાંધી આશ્રમ ખાતે ધરણાં કરી સરકાર સામે લડત આપવામાં આવશે. તેમ ડૉ. હિમાંશુ પટેલે ૯૮૨૫૦૨૭૭૨૧ જણાવ્યું હતું.
સરકાર સમક્ષ માંગણ

સ્કુલ વર્ધી એસોશિએશ
