45,000 houses basic facilities made at a cost of Rs. 673-crore.

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani expressed firm resolve to provide ‘Rotlo ne Otlo Bey’ (Bread and Shelter, both) to needy poor, rural, deprived people by building 25-lakh houses under the ‘Sheri-Gramin Awas Yojna by year 2022.

At the function organized to mark the event at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Mr. Rupani had performed e-Gruh pravesh (entry) to 45,000 beneficiaries from 19 districts of the state. These 45,000 houses with all basic facilities have been made at a cost of Rs. 673-crore.
Under ‘The Mukhya Mantri Gramoday Yojna’, Mr. Rupani also distributed ‘Job-
work – Appointment Letter’, which make direct linkage with the industry, to
approximately 200,000 beneficiary young-women.
Making dig at the past governments of the Congress Party, Mr. Rupani claimed
that in the past the Congress had made just empty promises and talks in the
name of poverty. In fact, it is transparent government of Prime Minister Mr.
Narendrabhai Modi that had extended real benefits to the poor, deprived and
needy people.
