84,450 claims were accepted under the Forest Rights Act

Gujarat government has decided that a review petition will be filed after studying the claims made under the Forest Rights Act – 2006, which were rejected by the Supreme Court. Government has also setting-up of a high-level committee for this purpose. Single rightfully beneficiary vanbandhu should not be deprived from the benefits availing under the Forest Rights Act – 2006.
It should be noted that so far as many as 84,450 claims were accepted under
the act in the state.
