Ahmedabad. Amid controversy over holding Lord Jagannathji’s rath yatra this year, illegal arms sales and smuggling are being exposed in the state. Gujarat ATS team has expedited the scam of supplying weapons on duplicate licenses. Police seized weapons worth around Rs 80 lakh.

The ATS team has arrested two persons from Ahmedabad while interrogating three, including two from Morbi. The ATS searched places including Kutch, Morbi, Amreli, Wankaner, Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar district and detained a total of 9 accused and seized more than 50 weapons including pistols and revolvers.
