On 6 August 2024, Somnath MLA Vimal Kana Chudasama inaugurated the Rajwadi tea shop in Prabhas Patan on the first day of the holy month of Shravan. Since then the kettle of Congress is getting hot.
Congress could have won one more seat in Gujarat if the Congress MLAs in Junagadh had not remained inactive and had not helped the BJP. Most of the people have believed this. Due to this, the politics of Gir Somnath and Junagadh district has heated up in the month of Shravan.

Along with this, for the 10th time, the rumor has spread that Vimal is now preparing to say goodbye to Congress.
Changu Mangu
Gir Somnath District Congress President Karshan Barad made serious allegations on MLA Vimal Chudasama. Vimal Chudasama did not help in the Lok Sabha. BJP MP Rajesh Chudasama and Vimal Chudasama run on a Changu-Mangu setting.
Jasha Barad was in the Congress at that time and was not helping the Congress in the Lok Sabha. Then he defected and the BJP took him with them. Even today the situation is the same in Somnath. He was given responsibility in Chorwad. Congress got only 1900 votes against 14 thousand votes. This simply means whom Vimal has helped.

Disbanded
17 Congress MLAs were elected in the 2022 assembly elections. 3 Congress MLAs were elected on 48 seats in Saurashtra. In which Somnath MLA Vimal Chudasama is there. Two MLAs have defected and joined BJP. There are constant rumours that Vimal will separate from Chudasama.
Once again Congress officials are now indirectly pointing fingers at Vimal for defection. They do not want to let even a single Congress MLA stay in Saurashtra, if BJP itself defected. This does not mean that BJP wants to wipe out the opposition parties who go among the people and speak for the people.
Pointing fingers at Vimal, the Congress President has said that BJP is taking whatever Congress wins in Somnath.
On 9 November 2022, there were speculations that he would resign from Congress after joining BJP. Then Vimal Chudasama had said that he would remain in Congress.
Once again rumours spread that BJP wanted to leave him during the Lok Sabha elections on March 13, 2024. Then he said that he is the only lion in Saurashtra. The party has given a lot. Will keep working for the party. There is no question of joining BJP.
Bavalia – On March 9, 2019, BJP leader and Water Minister Kuvarji Bavalia announced that MLA Vimal Chudasama is in touch with us. Bavalia was entrusted with the task of inducting OBC-Thakur leaders of Congress into BJP by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vimal Chudasama termed the talk of joining BJP as baseless.
In such a situation, BJP wants Vimal to change the party. That is why rumours often keep flying. On August 7, 2024, once again there are rumours that BJP will change the party.
Police dispute
On April 18, 2024, Vimal took part in the dispute between the MLA and the Naib Faujdar in Junagadh. ‘I am a representative of the public. Even the DSP cannot stop me. Congress candidate from Junagadh Lok Sabha seat Hira Jotva filled the nomination form. Meanwhile, when the Congress MLA raised slogans outside the Collector’s office, the police came in protest. Vimal announced that like last time, this time also in 2024, the Congress Movdi Mandal first asked me if you want to contest the Lok Sabha elections, then we are ready to give the ticket, but we all unanimously chose the name of Hirabhai Jot.
