Gujarat farmer leader Pal Ambalia was beaten up in a police lockup in Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s constituency Rajkot. They have been hospitalized. The chairman of Gujarat Kisan Congress is Pal Ambalia. Police have treated Pal Ambalia as a terrorist from Pakistan. He has repeatedly protested against the BJP government’s injustice to farmers. Rakhi Rupani was killed by police near a tree. Congress has demanded the suspension of two police officers who were involved in the incident.
He was arrested after the Rajkot Collectorate made a presentation on the issue of farmers. After which he has been seriously accused of beating her in lockup. Congress leaders are angry over the issue. So the police are denying the allegations.
The Rajkot Collectorate on Wednesday went for a presentation with the workers as they could not get adequate prices for farm produce. However, they were later released. They were later called to the police station for fingerprints and were re-arrested.
He was later beaten after his arrest late at night. He came to the Mamlatdar’s office on Kalawad Road in Rajkot on Thursday morning after being beaten. By that time they were unconscious. So the Congress leaders rushed there and shifted him to the hospital for treatment.
They called the monarchy and dictatorship good after the incident of being beaten by the police while standing by a tree. Rajkot city Congress president Ashok Dangar reacted harshly, saying that the police had treated Pal Ambalia as a terrorist from Pakistan. Rajkot Congress had made serious allegations that Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and the BJP involved.
After the whole incident, DCP-One Manohar Jadeja denied all the allegations in response and said that if Pal Ambalia still complains, he will investigate.
The Congress is showing great resentment towards to the Rajkot police. This kind of behavior of the police against those who raise the voice of farmers is not appropriate.
Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia reached Rajkot and visited Pal Ambalia
Attacking the government, Modhwadia said that the government is putting pressure on the police. He has been beating the order of the Chief Minister. Trusting the police, Pal Ambalia came to the police station again. After which the police officers beat him mercilessly.
ACP Crime Jaydeep Singh Sarvaiya and Crime PI H.M. Gadhvi, Modhwadia has alleged that police began hit near a tree. Apart from this, Modhwadia has demanded the suspension of both the officers.
Congress spokesperson Jayaraj Singh Parmar alleged that the police were beating him at the behest of the CM.
Patan Congress MLA Dr. Kirit Patel said that if the government does not do justice to the issue, it has started preparations for agitation.
