The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed 1.25 crore. Of these, 51,784 have recovered. 3,720 patients have died. More than 80 percent of deaths are in 5 cities. Corona has become a luxury of the dense city. Cities in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Delhi have given the most corona to the country.
Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Thane account for more than 60 per cent of the cases in five cities across the country.
Gujarat is the third most affected state. The total number of cases in Gujarat is 13,268. Out of these 9,724 cases, 80 per cent are in Ahmedabad alone. The city has so far recovered 3,658 people after treatment while the death toll has reached 645. The number of active cases in Ahmedabad is 5,421.
Maharashtra, most affected by Corona, has a total of 44,582 cases. Of these, 27,251 are from Mumbai alone, meaning more than 61 per cent of the cases in the state are from Mumbai. Not only that, Mumbai alone accounts for 21.8 per cent of the country’s total cases. This means that one in five infected people in the country is from Mumbai. In Mumbai, 5,769 patients have recovered so far while 909 have died.
In the national capital, Delhi, 12,319 cases have been reported. Out of the total cases in the country, only 10 per cent are from Delhi. Here 5,897 patients have recovered after treatment while 208 patients have died.
Tamil Nadu is the second most corona-affected state in the country. There are a total of 14,753 cases. Most of them are in the capital Chennai. So far 9,370 cases have been confirmed. Of these, 5,527 are active while 3,773 have recovered after treatment. At least 70 people have been killed in Chennai.
In Thane, 5,717 people have been infected with corona so far. Of those, 84 have died. 1,172 patients have recovered after treatment while 4,461 are still under treatment.
