Shankarsinh Vaghela has again made preparations to form a new party in the name of Prajashakti Democratic Party. Will announce to contest the 2022 elections. Ready to rejoin the Congress, he has said that Sonia Gandhi has to take a decision, but when it does not seem possible then there is a possibility that she will contest from some other party.

Congress came very close to power in 2017. But Shankarsinh Vaghela betrayed the Congress by resigning from the post of Leader of the Opposition. Congress lost the opportunity at the last moment.

Even at the age of 82, he does not belong to any political party and still has not kept his arms. At the age of 82, Shankarsinh Vaghela has once again made preparations to form a new party named Prajashakti Democratic Party.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted his meeting with Vaghela and wrote that he now has his own party. It remains to be seen when Shankar Singh makes an official announcement to contest the 2022 elections. However, in 2017 also he had announced the party in the name of Janvikalp.

He was the state president of Gujarat BJP. Vaghela was a strong contender for the chief minister’s post in 1995, when the BJP single-handedly won 121 seats out of 182.

Shankar Singh Vaghela was once an important pillar of BJP in Gujarat. When BJP came to power for the first time, they destroyed it.

Even today the old people remember that Modi was riding on the back of Vaghela’s ambassador and both the leaders used to turn entire Gujarat upside down in this way.

Even today the old people remember that Modi was riding on the back of Vaghela’s ambassador and both the leaders used to turn entire Gujarat upside down in this way.

Born on 21 July 1940 in Vasan village of Gandhinagar, Shankarsinh Vaghela did his MA in Economics from Gujarat University. have done

Before joining Jan Sangh, he was associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He joined the Jana Sangh as a grassroots leader among the old Jogis including Keshubhai Patel.

In 1977, the Jana Sangh merged with the Janata Party. But after a few years the Janata Morcha disintegrated. After that the Jana Sangh became the Bharatiya Janata Party in a new form.

He rose rapidly in the BJP and was made the state president of Gujarat BJP. In 1985, Narendra Modi was sent to the party with him as a Union minister from the RSS.

Going ahead, Vaghela bought a Fiat 1100 car. The company launched this new model at that time. Now Vaghela was traveling in this car to strengthen the organization of BJP in Gujarat.

Narendra Modi was a full-time pracharak of the Sangh, so he spoke less according to the style of the Sangh. So people must have considered him as arrogant, against whom Bapu seemed very friendly and loving.

He was popular among party leaders and workers. Vaghela, who had direct links with the GameGam activists, quickly became a very popular leader in the state.

Going forward, many of them got tickets and became MLAs or MPs, making them big supporters.

Shankarsinh Vaghela’s name became popular throughout the state and his political stature was such that he could win elections from any seat.

Keshubhai Patel was elected. Keshubhai laid the foundation of Jana Sangh in Gujarat. The party leaders celebrated by reminding them of the same. Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister at that time. He also carried the name of Keshubhai Patel.

The issue became a cause of friction and soon after coming to power, Modi started putting up barriers to prevent Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel from meeting Vaghela and MLAs believed to be his supporters.

It was said that Narendra Modi has become the super CM. Important decisions of Keshubhai’s government were taken by his supporters. There were many leaders including Amit Shah in his faction and allegations were made against this faction that Vaghela and his supporting MLAs were gradually getting cut off.

Keshubhai Patel had gone to the US in September 1995 with the intention of bringing investment to Gujarat, when Vaghela had warned him that your government would fall as soon as you went abroad.

On 27 September 1995, Shankarsinh Vaghela himself revolted and assembled 55 MLAs at his farmhouse in his village, Vasan. Some MLAs returned from there, but 48 MLAs supported Vaghela. An operation was conducted to evacuate these family members from Gujarat and they were quietly taken to the airport and taken to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh in a private plane.

Digvijay Singh, the then Chief Minister of Congress in Madhya Pradesh also got his support.

The MLAs who left Khajuraho in this rebellion were called Khajuria, while the legislators who stayed with Keshubhai got the name Hazuria. Neutral MLAs who were not in both these camps were called labourers.

Finally Atal Bihari Vajpayee came running. An agreement was reached between the two groups. Under this agreement, Industries Minister Suresh Mehta was made the Chief Minister. Vaghela had demanded to send Narendra Modi away from Gujarat. Narendra Modi was removed from the Gujarat organization and sent to New Delhi as a general minister.

Suresh Mehta’s government also barely lasted for a year and Vaghela revolted again. This time the matter got heated and there was uproar in the assembly also.

The MLAs supporting Vaghela threw the mike at the speaker. journalists too

pushed. Due to this movement, President’s rule was imposed for some time.

Shanksingh Vaghela formed Rashtriya Janata Party with 48 MLAs. The new government was formed with the outside support of the Congress.

Shankersinh Vaghela eventually became chief minister in a coup, but he remained in power only until October 1997. His methodology was not liked by the Congress and it caused friction.

Congress was not ready to support him. Ultimately, under the agreement, it was decided to make Dilip Parikh the chief minister’s chair. However, Parikh could only sit on the throne for five months. Because after that once again Congress withdrew support.

Tigers did not travel with large caravans. There was no special protection. He did not even take salary as Chief Minister. As chief minister, he tried to drop the impression that he was Adana’s servant.

Red beacons were removed from ministers’ cars. Flashlights of all ministers and IAS officers were extinguished. Red beacons were seen only on judges and police vehicles. Apart from this, no one was allowed to use the red beacon.

The Chief Minister used to meet his fellow ministers without appointment. Started the practice of calling cabinet meetings every week in different district headquarters. Earlier, the cabinet meeting was held only in Gandhinagar. 15 expert committees were constituted to explore options for balanced development of the state.

Based on the recommendation of such an expert committee, he handed over the electricity work in Ahmedabad and Surat to the private company Torrent. There is static electricity in Ahmedabad and Surat.

After the Congress withdrew its support, the Rajp government could not move forward. New elections were held in March 1998.

Vaghela contested the elections with the RJP as a third party but his party won only four seats. Congress got 53 seats. BJP came back to power with 117 seats. Keshubhai Patel became the Chief Minister for the second time.

Later the RJP merged with the Congress and Shankar Singh joined the Congress. He was made the President of Gujarat Pradesh Congress. In 2002, he took up the challenge of contesting against Narendra Modi.

After the events of Godhra, Narendra Modi had already established his image as the emperor of Hindu hearts. In that election, BJP had won the highest ever 127 seats. Whereas Congress got only 51 seats.

Vaghela had won the Lok Sabha elections when he was in the BJP. Then from 2004 to 2009 became an MP from Congress. He also became a cabinet minister in the Ministry of Textiles in Manmohan Singh’s government. Vaghela was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1984 to 1989.

Shankar Singh was complaining that the expected work was not being done because of Ahmed Patel, the political advisor to Sonia Gandhi. He never took an explicit name, but he kept complaining that the expected work was not done because of Ahmed Patel, Sonia Gandhi’s political advisor. Ahmedbhai was expected in all matters in Gujarat. He resigned from Congress on 21 July 2017 on his 77th birthday.

It was difficult for Vaghela, accustomed to work in an independent mood, to work in the Congress faction. He himself knows BJP very well and always used to say that if the party is allowed to run in its own way, he will defeat it, but he did not expect it.

7 supporting MLAs revolted in Congress. Voted against Ahmed Patel during the 2017 Rajya Sabha elections. However, at that time the Congress fought a fierce battle. Ahmed Patel won the Rajya Sabha election by keeping the rest of the MLAs along and getting the vote of Chhotubhai Vasava.

After this Shankar Singh founded a separate party called Janvikalpa Morcha. Also contested 2017 election. However, Janvikalp was not registered and hence did not get a separate symbol. In Rajasthan, candidates were fielded on the symbol of a regional party. The front did not get a single seat.

In 2019, he joined Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and was made the Gujarat State President. However, they did not like him in the NCP either. It was the NCP who asked him to leave the party. He officially resigned.

Shankar Singh Vaghela, who never gave up, once again tried to reconcile with the Congress. Some Congress leaders also said that Vaghela should be reinstated in the party, but no decision has been taken by Movdi Mandal.

Before the 2022 elections, they will once again form their own separate party and field their candidates. Official announcement is awaited. Seeing his nature, no one can believe that he will sit quietly during elections.
