Mehbooba’s imprisonment of 3 more months attacked by Rahul and Priyanka, the attitude of the central government is dictatorial

The Center on Friday extended three months of police custody of former Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti. The Center has arrested him under the Public Safety Act. Mehbooba Mufti has been under eye arrest since the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have targeted the central government on this issue, saying that the attitude of the central government towards the Constitution of India, leaders and those who believe in democracy is a symbol of dictatorship.

Priyanka wrote in a tweet, “Dialogue is necessary in a democracy, BJP government is making leaders its weapon.” It is democratic and unconstitutional to look at the Mufti. They should be abandoned. Former Congress president and MP Rahul Gandhi has written that democracy suffers more when the Indian government illegally detains leaders of political parties. This is the right time when Mehbooba Mufti should be released.
Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram tweeted that extending the custody of Mehbooba Mufti under PSA is an abuse of law and an attack on the constitutional right given to every citizen. Chidambaram said the 61-year-old former chief minister is posted with security guards 24 hours a day, how is he a threat to public safety?
