Sarla Aviation plans to start flying taxi service in collaboration with Bengaluru International Airport in 2028. Excel plans to launch 30 flying air taxis with a budget of $10 million. This service will be started in Gujarat on a trial basis by the Civil Aviation Department. Gujarat can start air taxi service from its first vertiport by the end of 2025. Vertiport means a special type of platform designed for vertical take-off and landing, from where small helicopters, drones or aircraft can take off and land. People can travel short distances using this platform. For travel, the aircraft can be taken as an air taxi, which can especially save time. Traffic in cities. The Indian Civil Aviation Authority of the Government of India issued an advisory to all the states of the country in September last year to develop ports.
