GMB CEO Mukesh Kumar appointed In-charge Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner in place of Vijay Nehra advised quarantined for 14 days

In a bid to combat and contain novel coronavirus COVID-19 more aggressively, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Forest & Environment Rajiv Kumar Gupta as Officer on Officer on Special Duty ‘OSD Control’ for testing, treatment, surveillance, supervision and monitoring the operation. He has the experience of executing the Statue of Unity near the SSP Narmada Dam in a short time.

 Similarly, he appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Revenue as ‘OSD Coordination’ for supervising, monitoring of entire support system for fighting COVID-19. He has the experience as Principal Secretary Health earlier.

 The Chief Minister appointed Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) Vice-Chairman and CEO Mukesh Kumar as In-charge Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra, who has been advised quarantine at home for 14 days after coming in contact with corona positive cases. Mr. Kumar is well versed with Ahmadabad as its past Municipal Commissioner.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim held videoconferencing with two newly appointed OSDs, Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of Municipal Corporations to prepare future strategy.
