Investment agreement every monday in Gujarat

To start industries in Gujarat from October 2022, on the first day of every week i.e. on Monday, an MoU is signed between the industrialists and the state government.

5 phases have been completed and a total of 56 MoUs have been signed. This will result in an investment of Rs 79375 crore in Gujarat. These industries will provide employment to 54,730 people.

On March 20, 2023, 20 MoUs were signed by various industrialists in a single day in front of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

Under the MoU, investments will be made in industries such as lithium-ion battery materials and advanced pharma intermediates, dense soda ash, food processing, specialty chemicals, APIs, kraft and duplex paper-boards, specialty products for personal care, etc.

These industries will start commercial production by 2025 through their production units at Dahej, Saikha, Jukaniya, Sachin, Sarigam and Ankleshwar as well as Dwarka, Dholka and Sadra-Kadi.

Other countries including Germany, US, UK, Kuwait, Malaysia have also signed MoUs to set up industries in the state under Atmanirbhar Gujarat schemes to help industries.
