Builder Salim Pathan has built a complex at the site of Municipal Urdu School near Jamalpur Kachni Mosque in Ahmedabad. Former Mayor Amit Shah and current Mayor Pratibha Jain, Jatin Patel, Deputy Chairman Devangbhai Dani, Khadi Committee President Gaurang Prajapati did not even know about it.
A coordination committee meeting of MPs, MLAs was held under the chairmanship of Municipal Commissioner M. Thennarasan. Ellisbridge MLA Amit Shah of Ahmedabad replied that the school has been closed by the Governor. The common man does not know that a shopping center has been built there. They should be fired from their jobs.
20 years ago, an Urdu school was located near Jamalpur Kachni Mosque. Where 200 children were studying. At that time, after the Municipal School Board closed this school, Salim Jummakhan Pathan, who lives next to the school, illegally built 10 shops and charged Rs 12,000 rent from each.
A shopping center has taken the place of the municipal school. Get it investigated now.
People’s complaints to stop construction, no action
Ever since the construction of these shops started, the Municipal Corporation has not taken any action despite people’s complaints. An Urdu school for girls was run in front. More than 200 girls used to study at one time.
When the school was demolished and the old trees around the school were cut down and the construction of complexes and flats started, the local residents protested and put forth their point in various government departments.
In this regard, people have also gone to the office of the local MLA and submitted an application. But no action was taken. The place of these two schools is worth Rs. 80 crore. The MLA also submitted a proposal to the Municipal Commissioner to take possession of this place by removing the illegal construction.
