Curd instead of nitrogen
Gandhinagar, 13 October 2020
A new method is coming to the farm. There are many benefits of using yogurt. Yogurt farming saves 95 percent of the cost and increases agricultural production by at least 15 percent. Seeing the benefits of yogurt, many farmers have turned to it. Especially since it has been used by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and the Agricultural Universities of Gujarat. It has been a tradition for years to drink sweet neem buttermilk. Yogurt is now being used in the field. In Gujarat, 500 kg of chemical fertilizer is used per hectare. Consumption in 2010-11 was 19.39 lakh tonnes. Consumption was 13.42 lakh tonnes in 1012-13. The consumption of chemical fertilizers is estimated to be around 1 million tonnes in 2019-20.
There is no need to irrigate for 15 days, so it saves Rs 1000 per acre. The cost per acre of chemical fertilizer is Rs. 1100, but the cost of curd is Rs. 110 per 2 kg of milk. Pesticides do not cost Rs 1500 per acre. Thus, one has to spend Rs. 3600 per acre, but works only from a nominal cost of Rs. 155.
How to make curd
To make curd, put two liters of milk of the native cow in an earthen pot. Dip a copper piece or a copper spoon in two kg of curd and cover it for 8 to 15 days and keep it in the shade. It will have green wire. Wash copper or brass and add to the curd. To make a 5 liter mixture, mix 3 liters of pammy in two kg of curd. One acre is sprayed with water by a pump. Then water is sprayed on the crop in 1 acre. By doing this, the plant will remain green for 25 to 45 days. Nitrogen is no longer needed. The crop will turn green.
2 kg of curd leaves 25 kg of urea
In North Bihar, 1 lakh farmers use curd instead of urea. Production of cereals, vegetables and orchards has seen an increase of 25 to 30 percent. A mixture of 30 ml curd is added to one liter of water. Around Delhi, curd has been used instead of urea for 9 years.
Useful in all crops
It can be sprinkled on all types of crops like maize, wheat, mango, banana, vegetables, litchi, paddy, sugarcane.
Curd water is used for 25 days before flowering in the garden. It provides phosphorus and nitrogen to the gardens. Organic material will be prepared on the crop. All fruits are of equal size.
Buttermilk released from the buttermilk will serve as the controller. Add vermicompost to poisonous butter and rub it into the roots of the plant. Bugs and pests will go away. It is important to be aware of toxins.
If these farmers add fenugreek paste or neem oil in addition to curd and spray it as a pesticide, the crop will not suffer fungus. Doing so provides nitrogen, eliminates pests and prevents favorable pests.
Yogurt can also be used in soil. Apply 2 kg of curd per acre. The microbial rate in soil is high. By doing this, production in all crops can increase by 25-30 percent. Curd is used in Panchagavya.
Water consumption decreases
By spraying 300 grams of rock salt in yogurt and 300 grams of rock salt in water in summer, the crop does not need water for 15 days.
Agricultural Research Institute
As the Indian Council of Agricultural Research recognized this innovation in March 2017, farmers in Muzaffarpur were honored by cultivating yogurt.
In India, 500 million tonnes of fertilizer is used annually. The above experience is of the farmers. Should know and use from agriculture officer.
