The Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad city metro rail projects have not been completed for 17 years due to the incompetence of the three chief ministers of the BJP government. But when it will start, no one knows. During the tenure of former Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, the metro rail gained momentum. But ever since BJP Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has come, he has proved without any direction. Work has been stopped for many months. The BJP government has no money to pay the costs to the contractors. Many contractors have left the project.
Project dreams as soon as elections come
In 17 years, Metrorail could start in Ahmedabad, Dholera, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, and Gandhinagar. When Modi was the Chief Minister, the Manmohan Singh government offered to provide money and technology for the metro rail in Ahmedabad. But Modi did not accept it for state political reasons. The BRTS project was accepted by Modi. Since then, the metro rail has been running in the mind as soon as elections come. Votes are cast and then the project closes. During Modi’s tenure, the project cost Rs 200 crore as a scam.
How much does it cost to buy a car
The failed Rupani government of the state had direct instructions from the Center that the work of Metrorail is completed in 2018. But so far only six kilometers of the metro have been started, which Anandiben has also started. In 2003, the Metrorail project was estimated at Rs 3,500 crore.
In 2007, Rs. 8000 crores Rs. In 2014, the Metrorail project was worth Rs 10,773 crore. The cost of the metro project has reached Rs 12,787 crore in 2020. If completed in two years, it will be Rs 15,000 crore. The mega-company has promised to complete the Ahmedabad Metrorail project in September 2022. The project would cost Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar to buy a car from the pocket of each family. Every family in Ahmadhad-Gandhinagar will embrace money by purchasing a car. No address of Gandhinagar city
The cost of Metrorail in Gandhinagar route is Rs 6700 crore. As long as there is a weak government, it is likely to be Rs 10,000 crore. Although the central government has approved the metro in Gandhinagar city, no work has started on the project. State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani holds review meetings, but the work does not speed up due to a lack of directionless money.

A route is on
The Metrorail of Ahmedabad runs from Vastral to Apparel Park, with a ticket of Rs 10 per passenger. The train carries 100 passengers daily. The 6.5 km route was inaugurated in March 2019. No other route has been started since then. The BJP-led government at the center Narendra Modi government and state government failed.
