Millions of migrant workers have left Gujarat. What about businesses now?

The state government has operated 262 labour trains for 3.9 lakh migrant workers to enable them to reach to their native state.

640 labour trains were operated across India until yesterday. Gujarat has operated 41% of the total labour trains, i.e 262 labour trains, to ensure the safe return of 3.9 lakh migrant workers.

37 trains have been operated tomorrow for U.P, Bihar, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh for 56,700 migrant workers.

99 labour trains (15%) have been operated by Maharashtra, 81 by Punjab (13%), 33 by Telangana (5%), 36 by Karnataka (5%), and 27 by Rajasthan (4%).

Out of the 37 trains that operated tomorrow, 27 trains left for U.P, 5 for Bihar, 3 for Orissa, 1 each for M.P, and Chattisgarh. Out fo this, 10 trains had been operated from Ahmedabad, 3 from Vadodara, 12 from Surat, 4 from Rajkot, and the remaining from other districts.

Now it remains to be seen what will happen to the businesses that Gujarat is planning to start after the 15th after so many workers have left Gujarat.
