[:en]To make state ‘Crossing Free Gujarat’ Gujarat approves railway overbridge, railway underbridge projects, worth of Rs. 757.37-Cr, for 20 nagarpalikas

Ahmedabad: Marching ahead towards his determination to make the state as ‘The Railway Crossing Free Gujarat’, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today in principle allocated Rs. 757.37-Crore to build as many as 16 railway overbridge and 10 railway underbridge in 20 nagarpalikas of Gujarat.

Of these approved projects, 16 railway overbridge to be built in nagarpalikas included one each railway overbridge in Okha, Palitana, Patan, Talod, Vishnagar, Karamsad, Umreth, and Bardoli, while 2 railway overbridges each in Veraval, Himmatnagar, Anand and Petlad, an official release from Gandhinagar said here.

The approval of works for these railway underbridge and railway overbridge were given by the Chief Minister under the ‘Swarnim Anniversary of Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme.’

Similarly, 10 railway underbridges approved for nagarpalikas are – one each in Sikka, Nadiad, Bopal-Ghuma, Una, Keshod, Deesa, Petlad, and Vyara; and two railway underbridges at Gandhidham.

In addition to these, under the ‘Swarnim Anniversary Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme, projects worth of Rs. 54.51-crore were also approved by the Chief Minister for Surendranagar and Bhachau nagars and Junagadh Municipal Corporation.

Beside these, a project work worth of Rs. 42.50-crore has been approved to build new flyover from Mction Circle Dam Road to Helipad in Surendranagar. Above all a subway project connecting Surendranagar Gate and Jorawarnagar Railway Station, at a cost of Rs. 6.53-Crore, was also approved.

For a unique identity, the Chief Minister also approved a project worth of Rs. 2.86-crore at Bhachau Nagarpalika area for making “Developing Entry of Bhachau towards Bhuj as Gateway of Kutch.“

Mr. Rupani also approved project worth of Rs. 2.62-Cr for renovation of swimming pool of Junagadh Municipal Corporation for giving it a unique identity.[:]
