CM holds video conference with field officers
Ahmedabad: In connection with the video conference held yesterday by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi with the Chief Ministers of various states of the country, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today conducted an important video conference with senior officials, special secretaries, district collectors, municipal commissioners and police commissioners of the municipal corporations, DGP, range IGs, and field officers of the state.
In this video conference, the Chief Minister had made detail briefings on the suggestions and guidelines given by the Prime Minister for curbing transmission of ‘COVID-19’.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister had also collected feedbacks and suggestions from the officers who are active on the field for controlling the spreading of Coronavirus and bring the normal life back on tracks in the urban areas and Municipal Corporations of the state.
This video conference was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel, Gujarat Home Minister Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja, both from Gandhinagar, other senior cabinet ministers such as Mr. R. C. Faldu, Mr. Kaushikbhai Patel, and Mr. Saurabhbhai Patel – from district headquarters. The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Anil Mukim, Mr. K Kailashnathan – Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Secretary Mr. Ashwini Kumar and other senior officials.
The Chief Minister also apprised the meeting that in the prevalent situation in Gujarat the life in municipal corporations of Jamnagar and Junagadh, and as many as 156 nagarpalikas along with rural areas are coming back to normalcy from farming, trade and commerce, and employments points of views.
Mr. Rupani also collected information from the officials about how the social distancing and other rules are being followed for curbing the transmission of the Coronavirus at the places like industries, shops, market-yards and others. He also emphasized on stringent implementation of the social distancing norms and other rules for controlling the spread of the Coronavirus.
The Chief Minister also welcomed the suggestions made by the field officers for restoring the essential services like public transports, cab services, auto-rickshaws, barber shops and others.
Mr. Rupani also made suggestion to collect the feedbacks from the field officers for forming a strategy to protect the elderly people, pregnant women, children and other vulnerable people from the transmission of deadly disease.
