Chief Minister of Gujarat complete failure, 10,000 projects of last two Vibrant Summit were canceled

Projects are removed from the MoUs signed at the Vibrant Summit held every two years in Gujarat. In 2015, 21,304 companies promised the government that we would invest Rs 16.30 lakh crore in Gujarat, against which Rs 2.89 lakh crore was invested by 15095 industrial groups.

In 2015, 5464 projects withdrew from investment. Similarly, MOUs were signed in 2017 for 24774 projects. Out of which Rs 3.08 lakh crore has been invested in 15,425 projects. The Department of Industry has claimed in a document that the remaining 2662 projects have an investment of Rs 56,740 crore in under-implementation. 3938 projects have been dropped for the year 2017.

This means that 9912 projects out of a total of 46,088 have been scrapped for the last two vibrant years. An industry official said that the state has received an investment of Rs 5.97 lakh crore in the projects started for the two Vibrant Summits.
