Five-member committee to investigate rape case in Vadodara.

Ahmedabad : Gujarat govt. decided to setup a five-member committee, headed by ditional Chief Secretary of Home Department on rape case in Vadodara.
The Home Minister further stated that taking the note of gravity of the incident, as many as 32 different police teams are pressed into the investigations. The best officials of the CID (Crime) Ahmedabad are also assisting the local police on the case. The case is being investigated from human intelligence, technical surveillance, FSL, Mobile CDR and other angles.
For the earliest detection of the case, it is being personally monitored by Vadodara Police Commissioner and the crime will be detected sooner. More than 800-suspects are being questioned and state government is determined to nab the culprits and will attempt to get “Capital Punishment” at the earliest.
Jadeja today made a personal visit to the victim’s family in Vadodara and expressing sorrow over the incident, gave them an assurance that the state government is with them and they could directly contact him for any assistance.
The other four members of the committee would be – secretary of home department, secretary of law department, DGP Gujarat, and Additional DGP CID Crime.
Gujarat High would be requested to run such
cases on the fast track mode for quick disposal of such cases and punishments
to the culprits. Beside these, the victims would be given compensation from
the ‘Victim Compensation Fund.
