Organic pesticides discovered for spice seed crops like cumin, coriander, fenugreek, isabgol, will be the most consumed in Gujarat

So instead of dangerous medicines of chemicals, now organic pesticides have been invented for spice crops. Which will be used most in Gujarat. Cumin is grown on 8 lakh hectares in the country. In which Gujarat has 80 percent share.

The Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology has developed an organic insecticide to kill pests in spiced crops with seeds. Has successfully developed a new bio-disinfectant based technology.

Preparation of disinfectant, bio-pesticide has been found to be very effective for spice crops with seeds like cumin, coriander. Safe for farmers and the environment. It can be used to control various agricultural pests. A patent application has been filed. Gujarat produces cumin the most.

Therefore, the Central Government is making efforts to make this available in Gujarat. Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya has said.

Many types of insect seeded spice crops cause damage up to 20 per cent. To control pests, a large number of synthetic chemical pesticides are used on these crops. As a result, many pesticide residues are found in spices. Which is dangerous for human health and environment. The pesticide residues will not come from the new medicine. The use of biopsy is considered the best option for chemical pesticides. Organic farming is a good medicine.

The Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals of the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has collaborated with ICAR-National Algebraic Spices in Ajmer, Rajasthan.

To increase the income of the farmers of the country, various government agencies are constantly trying organic pesticides for seed-spice crops. To reduce farmers’ crop costs and reduce the amount of chemicals in agricultural products, to make them safe for human health and the environment, the government is emphasizing on organic farming.
