નવરંગપુરાની કોવિડ શ્રેય હોસ્પિટલમાં આગ લાગવાના કારણે 8 દર્દીઓના મોત થયા હતા. આગની ઘટનાના 4 મહિના પછી શ્રેય હોસ્પિટલના માલિક અને મુખ્ય આરોપી સામે કોઈ ફરિયાદ થઈ નથી. અમદાવાદ શહેર પોલીસને માલિકની બેદરકારી સાબિત કરવા માટે હજી સુધી કોઈ પુરાવા મળ્યા નથી.
6 ઓગસ્ટની સવારે શ્રેય હોસ્પિટલના આઈસીયુમાં મોટી આગ લાગી હતી. બાદમાં બહાર આવ્યું હતું કે હોસ્પિટલ પાસે અમદાવાદ મ્યુનિસિપલ કોર્પોરેશનના ફાયર વિભાગ તરફથી કોઈ વાંધા પ્રમાણપત્ર અપાયુ ન હતું.
રાજ્ય સરકારે હાઈકોર્ટના નિવૃત્ત ન્યાયાધીશની અધ્યક્ષતામાં તપાસ સમિતિની રચના કરી હતી, જેમાં રૂપાણી સરકારના મુકેશ પુરી અને સંગીતા સિંઘ નામના બે અમલદારો નિયક્ત કરાયા હતા.
પોલીસ તપાસ એસીપી, એ ડીવીઝન, એમ.એ.પટેલને સોંપવામાં આવી હતી. તે સમયે, આઈપીસી કલમ બેદરકારીના કારણે મોત, જીવન જોખમમાં મૂકવા અથવા વ્યક્તિગત સલામતી માટે, 337 અધિનિયમ દ્વારા જોખમમાં મુકેલી જીંદગીને ઇજા પહોંચાડવી અને અન્ય આરોપો હેઠળ એફઆઈઆર નોંધવામાં આવી હતી.
તપાસ પૂર્ણ થવાની બાકી છે અને મુખ્ય આરોપી ભરત વિજયદાસ મહંત સામે કોઈ નક્કર પુરાવા નથી. એફએસએલ અને ફાયર વિભાગના અહેવાલોના આધારે તપાસ કરી હતી.
મહંત અને અન્ય 3 આરોપીઓ સામે કોઈ નક્કર પુરાવા શોધવામાં રૂપાણી સરકાર, અમદાવાદના મેયર અને પોલીસ કમિશ્વર નિષ્ફળ રહ્યાં છે.
આગ ઇલેક્ટ્રિકલ સોકેટમાં આવેલી સ્પાર્કને કારણે લાગી હતી. જે હોસ્પિટલમાં ઓક્સિજન સપ્લાયને કારણે ઝડપથી ફેલાઇ હતી. કોવિડ -19 દર્દીઓ માટે ઓક્સિજન સપ્લાયની જરૂર હતી અને દર્દીની વિનંતી પર પંખાને વોર્ડમાં રાખવામાં આવ્યો હતો.[:en]Ahmedabad, 28 November 2020
Eight patients died in the fire at Kovid Shreya Hospital in Navarangpura in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. On the morning of 6 August, a huge fire broke out in the ICU of Shreya Hospital. It was later discovered that the hospital had no objection certificate from the fire department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
The state government had constituted an inquiry committee headed by a retired High Court judge, who appointed two officers of the Vijay Rupani government, Mukesh Puri and Sangeeta Singh.
Police investigation was handed over to ACP, A Division, MA Patel. At that time, an FIR was registered in the IPC section for life endangered by careless death, careless life or personal safety and other charges.
The investigation is yet to be completed and there is no concrete evidence against the main accused Bharat Vijaydas Mahant. The investigation was done on the basis of reports from FSL and the fire department.
The Rupani government, Ahmedabad Mayor and Commissioner of Police Mahant and the other three have failed to find any concrete evidence against the accused.

अहमदावाद में नवरंगपुरा के कोविद श्रेया अस्पताल में आग लगने से आठ मरीजों की मौत हो गई। आग की घटना के 4 महीने बाद क्रेडिट अस्पताल के मालिक और मुख्य आरोपी के खिलाफ कोई शिकायत दर्ज नहीं की गई है। अहमदाबाद शहर की पुलिस को अभी तक मालिक की लापरवाही साबित करने के लिए कोई सबूत नहीं मिला है।
6 अगस्त की सुबह श्रेया अस्पताल के आईसीयू में भीषण आग लग गई। बाद में पता चला कि अस्पताल के पास अहमदाबाद नगर निगम के अग्निशमन विभाग से कोई आपत्ति प्रमाण पत्र नहीं था।
राज्य सरकार ने एक सेवानिवृत्त उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायाधीश की अध्यक्षता में एक जांच समिति का गठन किया था, जिसने विजय रूपानी सरकार के दो अधिकारियों, मुकेश पुरी और संगीता सिंह को नियुक्त किया था।
पुलिस की जांच एसीपी, ए डिवीजन, एम ए पटेल को सौंपी गई थी। उस समय, IPC की धारा में लापरवाही से मौत, लापरवाह जीवन या व्यक्तिगत सुरक्षा और अन्य आरोपों से लुप्तप्राय जीवन के लिए एक प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई थी।
जांच पूरी होनी बाकी है और मुख्य आरोपी भरत विजयदास महंत के खिलाफ कोई ठोस सबूत नहीं है। एफएसएल और अग्निशमन विभाग की रिपोर्टों के आधार पर जांच की गई।
रूपानी सरकार, अहमदाबाद के महापौर और पुलिस आयुक्त महंत और अन्य तीन आरोपियों के खिलाफ कोई ठोस सबूत खोजने में विफल रहे हैं।
आग बिजली के सॉकेट में लगी चिंगारी के कारण लगी। जो अस्पताल में ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति के कारण तेजी से फैल गया। कोविद -19 रोगियों के लिए ऑक्सीजन की आपूर्ति की आवश्यकता थी और रोगी के अनुरोध पर पंखे को वार्ड में रखा गया था।[:]
