The people of Gujarat have given many wonderful gifts to the world in the field of agriculture. Last week also gave Nano urea to farmers across the world. Indian Farmers Fertilizers Co-Operative Limited – IFFCO has developed Nano Liquid Fertilizer at IFFCO Nano Biotechnology Research Center in Kalol, Gujarat. The first batch has arrived in the market. Now it will be easily available to the farmers in the market. Cheaper than existing compost. The cost of 500 ml Nano Liquid Urea is Rs 240. 50 kg hard urea is available for Rs 266.
Used in 11 thousand farms
The experiments were conducted on the farms of 11,000 farmers and organizations. Tested on 94 such crops. The product was tested in 20 institutes of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It was used scientifically in the agricultural universities of Gujarat state. It has been launched in the market after experimenting on 43 crops in Krishi Vigyan Kendras. A total of 94 agricultural crops were tested in each season. About 11,000 farms were covered.
Production starts from June 2021
For the first time in the world, liquid urea has been produced at the Nano Biotechnology Research Center. The product was presented at the 50th General Meeting of IFFCO. Production will start from June 2021. Its commercial marketing will start soon. Now Nano Urea has been declared under the Mines Control Act.
Urea consumption will decrease
A bottle of 500 ml of urea contains 40,000 ppm of nitrogen. Which will supply nitrogen nutrients like a normal urea bag. Consumption will be reduced by 50 percent. There will be a savings of Rs 3,000 crore to the Gujarat government and farmers. Urea fertilizer is being used indiscriminately. Get rid of the problem. This will be a huge benefit to the government, which has to give a subsidy of Rs 3,000 crore.
Agricultural production may increase by 50 lakh tonnes
98 lakh hectares of land is cultivated in the state. In which about 500 lakh tonnes of agricultural production is produced in Gujarat. If 8 percent increase in production and 2 percent cost savings are considered, the production can increase to 5 million tonnes.
Benefit
The quality of ground water will improve. Production will increase by 8 percent. 94 crop trials showed an average yield increase of 8 percent. The quality of agricultural produce improves. The cost of cultivation is reduced. Urea is 10% cheaper than fertilizer. So the income of the farmers will increase. Nutrient-rich groundwater and air pollution will decrease. Can reduce global warming. Strengthens the crop. Makes crops healthy. Prevents vertical crop from falling horizontally in the field. The consumption will be 50 percent less than the existing urea.
In winter crops can be given with water. It is diluted in water. There is no cost of transportation to the farmers. The cost of a logistic warehouse will also come down. Half a liter of nano urea is used instead of urea in 50 kg sacks.
Farmers will use it this year. If they think it is good and cheap, then from next year the demand will increase so much that the government subsidy will be saved.
Fertilizer consumption
One million tonnes of urea is used in Gujarat. At Rs 1,300 per bag, farmers use urea worth Rs 3,000 crore. The government gives it a subsidy of Rs 3,000 crore. Thus, farmers in Gujarat use urea worth Rs 6,000 crore.
As of 2013, urea was used at 64% of the total fertilizer consumption in the Kharif season. In Gujarat, farmers use 500 kg of chemical fertilizers per hectare. The consumption in 2010-11 was 19.39 lakh tonnes. Fertilizer rainfall in Gujarat has now come down to 13.42 lakh tonnes in 2012-13. In 2019-20, it fell again to 10 lakh tonnes. India uses 500 lakh tonnes of fertilizer annually.

Crore scam scam will stop
Neem oil coated urea is being used for 7 years. So that subsidized urea is not used in factories. However, 3 factories in Gujarat were confiscated where neem coated urea was processed and made for use in factories. There are many such factories in Gujarat. In which crores of rupees are spent every year on urea. In this way, out of Rs 6,000 crore urea, Rs 300 crore scam could have been saved.
Very cheap urea
Dip a piece of copper or a copper spoon in two kg of curd, cover it and keep it in the shade for 8 to 15 days. Which is used as urea. This cultivation of curd saves 95 percent of the cost. Agricultural production increases by at least 15 percent.
