Significantly, Indian news channels were banned in Nepal on July 9. The Nepali distributors behind this had accused these news channels of unbridled propaganda about Nepal. गौरतलब है कि नेपाल में नौ जुलाई को भारतीय समाचार चैनलों पर रोक लगा दी गई थी। इसके पीछे नेपाली वितरकों ने इन समाचार चैनलों पर नेपाल के बारे में बेलगाम प्रचार का आरोप लगाया था। हालांकि यहां दूरदर्शन का प्रसारण निर्बाध रूप से जारी है। बता दें कि पिछले महीने नेपाल द्वारा विवादित नक्शे को वहां की संसद द्वारा पारित करने के बाद से दोनों देशों में तनाव बढ़ा हुआ है।[:]
