Rajasthan High Court allows rapist Asaram to be given Ayurvedic food

Asharam, who is serving his final sentence in the rape case against his minor disciple of Gurukul, has got relief from the court. In fact, Asharam was advised by Ayurvedic doctors to take a special diet to prevent the corona virus epidemic. Asharam approached the Rajasthan High Court for his permission. Now the Rajasthan High Court has allowed Asharam to order food from outside the jail. Based on the advice of Ayurvedic doctors, the Rajasthan High Court has allowed Asharam to serve food from outside the jail. On August 11, the Rajasthan High Court heard Asharam’s petition.

Significantly, on behalf of Asharam, in the Jodhpur bench of Rajasthan High Court, an application was sought for permission to order food from outside. The petition argued that in view of the corona virus epidemic, Ayurvedic physicians have recommended foods with special properties that are beneficial in health. Asharam’s counsel sought the permission of the Rajasthan High Court for this, which was approved by the Rajasthan High Court on 11 August. Asharam was arrested in 2013 for raping his own disciple. He has since been lodged in Jodhpur jail. In 2018, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in prison.
