Gujarat Govt considers Banana as Silver, but 7,500 Crore Losses and 30 Crore Assistance

But even if the government pays the assistance per hectare, it will not exceed Rs 300 crore. In fact the government will not pay farmers more than Rs 20-30 crore for bananas because it has not done a good survey.
Silver bananas
Banana can be planted from 2500 to 4500 per hectare. Thus an average of 3500 stems can be planted in one hectare. The government has fixed the price at Rs 1,500 per trunk and can get Rs 52.50 lakh per hectare. But the government will never give it. This was stated by the farmer leader of Kisan Congress, Palbhai Ambaliyar. The government has made bananas worth silver. Actually, farmers do not get more than Rs 400 per trunk. But the government considers it as Rs 1,500.
Lum Price 125
Ketan Patel, a farmer from Anand says that a trunk costs 125 rupees. The income value of a trunk is 500 rupees. Thus the cost per hectare is Rs 15 to 17.50 lakhs. Accordingly, the actual cost of farmers is Rs 4.37 lakh per hectare.
The income of a loom is 300
Dhiren Desai, a banana farmer from Bharuch, says that it costs Rs 100-110 to build a trunk. A loom comes out in the trunk. From 8 kg to 50 kg of banana comes in a box. On average 30 kg of bananas are harvested. You get 300 rupees of the loom.
9 lakhs per hectare

Banana production down by 35 percent
If a banana leaf is torn 5 feet long, the price of the product will be reduced by 60 percent.
