Gujarat Govt considers Banana as Silver, but 7,500 Crore Losses and 30 Crore Assistance

A written order has been issued by the Revenue Department of the State Government on 12 January 2021. In which a banana tree costs 1500 rupees. If we look at the cost of the government, the farmers suffer a loss of Rs 15,000 crore.
But even if the government pays the assistance per hectare, it will not exceed Rs 300 crore. In fact the government will not pay farmers more than Rs 20-30 crore for bananas because it has not done a good survey.
Silver bananas
Banana can be planted from 2500 to 4500 per hectare. Thus an average of 3500 stems can be planted in one hectare. The government has fixed the price at Rs 1,500 per trunk and can get Rs 52.50 lakh per hectare. But the government will never give it. This was stated by the farmer leader of Kisan Congress, Palbhai Ambaliyar. The government has made bananas worth silver. Actually, farmers do not get more than Rs 400 per trunk. But the government considers it as Rs 1,500.
Lum Price 125
Ketan Patel, a farmer from Anand says that a trunk costs 125 rupees. The income value of a trunk is 500 rupees. Thus the cost per hectare is Rs 15 to 17.50 lakhs. Accordingly, the actual cost of farmers is Rs 4.37 lakh per hectare.
The income of a loom is 300
Dhiren Desai, a banana farmer from Bharuch, says that it costs Rs 100-110 to build a trunk. A loom comes out in the trunk. From 8 kg to 50 kg of banana comes in a box. On average 30 kg of bananas are harvested. You get 300 rupees of the loom.
9 lakhs per hectare
That is, there are 1200 plants in one acre. There are 3100–3500 saplings per hectare. Income Rs 9.30 lakh per hectare and the expenditure Rs 2.50 lakh per hectare. As Desai said.
The government will give 33 thousand rupees per hectare. All farmers in Bharuch are affected by bananas. Out of which 10 to 80 percent have been damaged.
9th District Taraju
The 9 districts that were affected by the storm included Bhavnagar, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Narmada, Bharuch, Vadodara, Somnath, Junagadh. There are banana orchards on 57518 hectares in 9 districts. In which there has been a loss of 30 thousand hectares. 4.5 crore trunks have been damaged. In such a situation, according to the cost of the government, there is a loss of Rs 6,750 crore from the banana itself.
Actual loss 2 thousand crores
If we do not calculate the norms of the government and calculate the loss of Rs 400 per trunk to the farmers, then there is a loss of Rs.
Banana production down by 35 percent
If a banana leaf is torn 5 feet long, the price of the product will be reduced by 60 percent.
As the trunk moves forward, there will be a 35 percent drop in production. Such gardens are in 40 thousand hectares. Which is a loss of 5600 crores rupees in future.
Loss of Rs 7500 crores and assistance of Rs 30 crores
