Gujaratis and Punjabis are at the forefront of Indians entering the US illegally. Gujaratis who enter America illegally are exploited by Gujaratis only. It is estimated that Gujaratis are spending 1 trillion dollars to enter America.
Human trafficking is the second largest business in the US after drugs worth $15,000. Like drugs, this business is also controlled by big mafias.
Harold D’Souza, a former member of the Advisory Council Against Human Trafficking in the US and a native of Vadodara, told the law students how the US has become a hell for people who enter the US illegally. They are fighting on this issue.
After becoming a victim of human trafficking 20 years ago for the lure of high paying jobs in the US, Harold D’Souza himself has lived in the US and fought to bring justice to countless victims of human trafficking. He says that ‘human trafficking is the second largest business in America after drugs at $15,000. Like drugs, this business is also controlled by big mafias.
He raised his voice against the fact that the laws against human trafficking in the US are still not strict enough and demanded 30 years of punishment for human traffickers. They come to America by paying lakhs of rupees to the agents. America is legally a heaven and illegal a hell.
Motels, gas stations, restaurants, convenience stores, agriculture are occupied by Gujaratis. Labor in America is expensive, so illegal immigrants are kept here like slaves. Only food and accommodation are provided. 14 hour work, Gujaratis who enter America illegally are exploited by Gujaratis.
During the presidency of Barack Obama, he appointed Harold D’Souza as a member of the Human Advisory Council. After which Donald Trump also appointed him.
